Last night was one of the best nights in my life! I went to see JAMES!!!!

I thought it was odd when we weren't allowed to go to the toilets loacated at the back of the standing area in the MEN Arena. Shortly atherwards, a marching band made their way out of there onto the stage, and the beat was oddly familiar. I just spun around to my friends and said "It's Come Home! Then JAMES kicked in full throttle, and the rest of the night was just wild. James is one band I never thought I would ever see live, as they had gone their seperate ways just before I really started to get into their music. Not only did they play some of their greatest hits, but played some really obscure stuff going right back to 1982. Plus the three brand new songs sounded great! One of the best moments was the look on some of my friends faces when Tim Booth decided to sing one of the songs whilst walking through the seated areas high above us. We were down on the floor area, and I didn't stop dancing or singing all night. James even invited some of the fans on stage to dance around the band whilst playing Gold Mother.

One of the best live bands I have seen - Presence sums that boy up.

I look forward to seeing them in the Summer even more now Eyeof. looks like a cracking set.

Mrs Sheriff and I saw them in Brixton on Friday.  Good, but not as good as the 'farewell' gig from MEN I went to a few years ago.

Its great that they're back though.

Two new albums are being released tomorrow, one is a single CD and the other is a double CD with a lot of their early stuff on it. Also there's a DVD being released with all the videos on, plus other goodies.

78 of the songs (59%) have been released as singles (including Who Are You)
26 of the songs (20%) were originally released during the 1980s (including Sit Down and Come Home)
79 of the songs (59%) were originally released during the 1990s
28 of the songs (21%) were released since 2000 or are yet unreleased.

Sometimes, Getting Away With It (All Messed Up) and Who Are You are the only songs to have been played at all seven shows. Seven, She's A Star, Play Dead, Say Something, Ring The Bells, Laid and Gold Mother have all been played six times.

Just read an interview they did yesterday. They've got 90 new songs waiting to be released.................. to add to the 250 or so they've already written.

It looks like a new album with completely new songs is going to be produced soon, and I believe Tim Booth is also planning on making another solo album as well.

Hehe, only joking. Watching live bands you love is brilliant. Sounds like you had a ball.

My favourite was watching Iron Maiden complete with giant Eddy at donnington in `92. I went hoarse singing run to the hills. SOOO GOOOOD!

nice to see that you are still in good health mr Junglecat. Flushy informed us that you were unable to attend BB4 as you had contracted Green Fever. Hope your recovery continues.

I quite liked all the new songs they played, although the sound quality at Brixton was shit (not for the first time).  They didn't seem to get the levels right until towards the end of the concert, which was a shame as they're an incredible live band.

I'm often quite fearful of 'new material' from bands who have reformed after a long absence but it looks as if there's little to worry about on this occasion.

I'm hoping the Brixton sound issues don't recur for the one-off Carter USM gig in November!  But then again, it can't be that difficult with just two blokes and a backing track can it?

Gotta love Live Gigs.

My personal faves were seeing Rod Stewart & the Faces, 10cc, Dire Straits, Yes, Genesis, Fleetwood Mac, Clapton, Robbie Williams The Beatles, The Stones, Elton John, and the worst, by a mile, was Billy Joel.
