Title: the real hero of bb4 Post by: TightEnd on April 30, 2007, 01:38:38 PM is a man who was facing adversity. Fate had dealt him a cruel hand but as I saw him enter the hotel he looked like a man on a mission
A man of distinction, a man of letters and a man of learning and knowledge His quiz team, hand picked for him by a complete sadist with a fantastic sense of humour, was as follows Poppet. A veritable compendium of quiz knowledge Leon. As above Rainbow. As above Ironside. Who is to singing what he is to quizzes. Horrific. From my table a few feet away I watched as the conversation ebbed and flowed. From Sartre one minute to Nietzchze the next, before alighting on the best shade of lipstick to accompany lime green spangly tops He stayed cool through it all, at one point his team was winning the quiz and it was only a lack of knowldge of music lyrics that let him down Nevertheless for services beyong the call of duty I award him my heroism medal, and hope he has now had time to recover I salute you, Andrew T. Title: Re: the real hero of bb4 Post by: kinboshi on April 30, 2007, 01:41:32 PM It just shows one man a team does not make. AndrewT couldn't carry his team on his own, and neither could the encyclopaedic Tighty (with me, Kev and Ginger as team mates it's understandable).
No, one man doesn't make a team, we discovered that for sure. 13 does. Title: Re: the real hero of bb4 Post by: Poppet7 on April 30, 2007, 01:43:43 PM Ahem, yes AndrewT was very good in the quiz, but I got a few questions right, it was Leon that was the completely useless one!

Quite right. Every pub quiz I ever play in has a Harry Potter question. Every single one. I know nothing about Harry Potter. Thankfully Poppet and Rainbow were on the case and got that one. Poppet actually got quite a few. Including one where Ironside did his best to convince her to write down his own (incorrect) answer instead... Poppet did try to copy the ITB team's music answer sheet but Flushy quite rightly pointed out we'd probably get more points by handing in a blank sheet of paper. Anyway, I'm already assembling my team for bB5. I just have to convince Tim Rice to sign up to Blonde now. LOL, me and Leon reading through all the posts, came across this one and now we can't stop giggling! Congratulations to the 1,458 people in the winning quiz team! Title: Re: the real hero of bb4 Post by: Indestructable on April 30, 2007, 07:07:04 PM I think that comparing me to Jesus a little over the top, but can understand the comparison. ;whistle;
I was motivated to beat poppets team for her dealing a heart on the river to my opponent costing me victory. ;) Title: Re: the real hero of bb4 Post by: kinboshi on April 30, 2007, 07:13:53 PM I think that comparing me to Jesus a little over the top, but can understand the comparison. ;whistle; I was motivated to beat poppets team for her dealing a heart on the river to my opponent costing me victory. ;) Why?
