Title: Re: Children to be proud of Post by: redimp on May 06, 2007, 10:15:25 AM That's brilliant ! By accident really, they use to have a swimming lesson once a week, but outgrew it.how did the girls get into martial arts in the first place? They wanted a new club or activity to take up at night, and thought of lots of things, but one of Jaydes Friends already had taken up karate, and it sort of went from there. Pete and I encouraged them to go,and although this may seem a terrible thing to say but in this day and age it may save there life one day! Thanks for all the congrats, the girls were made up this morning when they saw them. Title: Re: Children to be proud of Post by: Geo the Sarge on May 06, 2007, 10:35:53 AM Well done young ladies.

Don't know if I told you, decided to go back to Turkey,Marmaris in 2 weeks ;cupcake; Shelly I started out with muay thai which was great fun but then took on karate when i went to uni as more classes were avaliable. Trouble is settling in one club as im back and forth or was between cardiff and my home town which do different styles so stopped going after xmas til im settled again. Cant wait to start up again though, i recommed it to all children as is great for learning discipline and focus (important in poker) aswell as the obvious self defence. Have a great holiday out there, take loads of photos to post on here and go on the jet skis if you didn last time (such a gd laugh) KP Title: Re: Children to be proud of Post by: BigTomatoes on May 08, 2007, 01:43:55 PM Filmergraphics League Champions 2006-2007 My son, the goalkeeper, let in 11 goals in 22 games and has been chosen to enter a Football Centre of Excellence with a league club, spotted by a Scout... thats great Tighty , 11 goals in 22 games at that level is incredible , normally there are 11 goals in one game !!! well done to your girls as well Shelly it wont belong before they are Black belts . :)up Title: Re: Children to be proud of Post by: thetank on May 08, 2007, 01:49:17 PM Impressive stuff. :)

Title: Re: Children to be proud of Post by: AdamM on May 09, 2007, 08:26:32 AM 18 months ago two of my young female students who were 16 & 14 at the time got attacked by a group 6 (one of which was brandishing a knife) on their way home from the annual fair . The training contributed to their escape from the situation unharmed.
on quiet bankholidays when 3/4 of the students decide to have the day off, I think of that and remember why I do it. Title: Re: Children to be proud of Post by: MrsBar on May 09, 2007, 12:46:54 PM Congratulations to your girls
