Notables there inccluded William Hill's Bad Girl & Smokin Steve, Rumit, Denis O'Mahoney, Sonny Osman, Martin Farragher, & David Lloyd.

Nottingham sent a strong team, including Vic Hero Nik Whiten, Rob Yong, Bob, Greek Jack, Steve, Basha, & Nottingham Nick, who is not from Notts.

The dreaded Eric The Screw Barker & at it merchant Ian Bradley came down from the North East, & other Northern notables included George Geary & Simon Nowab.

Rankings leader since his 2nd at The Vic, Stuart Nash was present, looking to add to his points tally. And Gutshot Finalists James Browning, Neil Bad Beat Channing, Ben The Milky Bar Kid Grundy, & Cemal Alp, who also finalled at The Vic, were also present & correct.

King Richard Ashby, Racing Ronnie, Frankie Knight, Jeff Rogers, Phil Peters & his charming wife, the lairy Riverdave Penly, & EPT Commentator Pete Singleton, were amongst others I recall seeing.

When play finished for the night, there were 25 minutes left at 1,500-3,000. Play resumes at 2.30 pm Tuesday, & it will be a 9 seat Final.
