First to act has 122k but folds 2nd 94k folds I am sat with 53k in chips and dealt 5c 6c dealer button has 83k small blind has 95k after SB big Blind 41k after BB What would you do in this situation. At the time this hand came up I was being interviewed by Johnny Gould. I looked down at my hand and saw suited connectors but low ones and folded my handed and continued talking.
I was then out next hand with Q-A versus K-A. Trouble is they showed me what would have happened if I had called with 5-6. I would have been up against Kh Kc and 8s 8d I would have been around 20% preflop so still happy with my decision to fold. The flop gave me a draw to a straight which I promptly hit on the turn ;frustrated;. I would hav trebled up and put myself in a great position. A case of what could have been. I blamed Johnny at the time, but looking back on it I am struggling with whether I would have gone all in without the interuption or whether I would have still folded. I guess the consensus is I should have pushed. Especially as you go on to say you've been dealt 56s. It does better than a whole load against the hands you're going to get calls from. I think the BB will be calling here with any two cards so his "first in vigorish" is not so great here. However I'd probably still push and hope the BB is an idiot and passes |
