Title: QQ - SnG turbo - mid stages. Post by: temp0r on May 09, 2007, 12:18:07 PM both players have been rather semi-loose donks with no clue how to play profitably in SnGs. you know the sort. but anyway i thought this was rather marginal so what does everyone think to it? push or fold?
PokerStars Game #9817190519: Tournament #49816528, $15+$1 Hold'em No Limit - Level V (75/150) - 2007/05/08 - 21:05:26 (ET) Table '49816528 1' 9-max Seat #2 is the button Seat 1: temp0r2k (1400 in chips) Seat 2: paidover95 (1875 in chips) Seat 3: Qu4nGs7a (835 in chips) Seat 4: BadBeatPro (2065 in chips) Seat 5: Firaren (2810 in chips) Seat 7: jackofheartz (1920 in chips) Seat 8: sexymoma2 (1295 in chips) Seat 9: farvegnugen (1300 in chips) Qu4nGs7a: posts small blind 75 BadBeatPro: posts big blind 150 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to temp0r2k [Qc Qd] Firaren: folds jackofheartz: raises 300 to 450 sexymoma2: raises 845 to 1295 and is all-in farvegnugen: folds temp0r2k: .....???? Title: Re: QQ - SnG turbo - mid stages. Post by: boldie on May 09, 2007, 01:05:58 PM QQ is one of those dangerous hands that is tricky to lay down in any tourney especially a small stakes STT.
In a 16$ STT I would always call with this. You can expect to see action like this before you when someone has a big ace and the other has pocket Jacks (or lower) and in a 16$ STT I wouldn't fold this. In a big MTT you could easily find a fold here. You could even find yourself up against AJ and AK, which is not too bad a situation to be in as that only leaves 2 aces. One of them (most likely the first raiser) could ofcourse have KK or AA but in this tourney you have to take that risk I thin. Title: Re: QQ - SnG turbo - mid stages. Post by: AdamM on May 09, 2007, 01:20:51 PM when I see QQ and SnG turbo then my answer will almost always be 'all in' regardless of the rest of the info. the standard of play and hand selection of your opponents makes is virtually impossible to pass. Boldie is right, in a MTT there will be times putting QQ down is relatively easy, but if it's ever right in a turbo SnG I've yet to see it.
Title: Re: QQ - SnG turbo - mid stages. Post by: Longy on May 09, 2007, 02:05:08 PM Insta call, these two would to be nits, to be sure about folding this.
There are situations when folding qq is correct in turbo sng's this ain't one of them. Title: Re: QQ - SnG turbo - mid stages. Post by: KingPoker on May 09, 2007, 04:45:45 PM Jackofheartz has only raised to 450 at this point, with sexymoma reraising all in for 800 more, with you to act after and to push yourself which would make it another 1000 for jackofheartz to call IMO he is the only one with a decision (he is getting around 2.5 to 1 to call with a reraise all in and a call after his initial standard 3xBB raise) to make in this hand and unless he has KK>AA he is the one who should be folding not you!
What did jackofheartz do and have if he played?? Title: Re: QQ - SnG turbo - mid stages. It's not that great a hand lvls 1 and 2 to this sort of action, and can be easily layed down. here, you have to pump all your chips in. Title: Re: QQ - SnG turbo - mid stages. Post by: AlexMartin on May 09, 2007, 05:29:29 PM Cant release here. Maybe in level 1 of the 4 diamond championship or a cash game @ Luton but im not folding queens here.
