Not sure about forwarding from home phone, however you may want to leave an answer message giving your mobile no.

just a thought, though someone may find a reason for not doing this.

you need to ring bt and ask them to put call divert on your line it costs though each month and then they will tell you how to programme the phone when needed.

BT should be able to tell the # code required to forward your phone on, but first you will need the feature provisioned onto your line. Not sure how long this will take them, but in reality it takes a few seconds to add it.

From BT website...

When you don't want to be disturbed, Call forwarding diverts your calls to another mobile or land line phone, or to your voicemail. You can usually control Call forwarding through your phone's menu. Or you can use the codes shown below.

To divert all calls to another phone
Dial ** 21* - enter the number of the phone you want to divert to - # Call To divert calls when your phone is busy
Dial ** 67* - enter the number of the phone you want to divert to - # Call To divert calls when unreachable (out of coverage or turned off)
Dial ** 62* - enter the number of the phone you want to divert to - # Call
Tip

Do not press ** in quick succession as this may give you the + symbol.

What I posted earlier may be for mobiles!!! Doh.

This - http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumer/consumerProducts/pdf/BT_Calling_Features_Userguide.pdf

appears to give details of standard BT features (ie no extra charges).
