I do wish you'd come up said "Hi". Aspers Casino, in my opinion, is achingly good, right up there with The Broadway, & the locals are just terrific lads. The Tourrnament? Well, bit of a disaster, actually. effectively, I drove up from Brighton to Newcastle for a £1,000 Main Event, 2 day jobbie, & so did no less than, err.....6 others! We eventually agreed to hold a £200 one rebuy one add-on comp, & we rustled up 20 runners. The Final included Steven Liu, John Law, George Geary, Carlo Citrone, Alan McLean - it don't get better than that! I got lucky & sneaked into 2nd place for £1,900, so all's well that ends well - for me, anyway. As to the lack of runners, that's another story altogether, & an interesting one. I intend to wriite an Article about the whole UK Tournament scene tonight or tomorrow. The Aspers "failure" (lack of runners) is not sustainable n the long-term, & we need to get our act together or it will end in tears.
