I'd probably call thinking if he had the straight he'd play it slower. I don't claim to be good though. Title: Re: Did I play this hand wrong Post by: Royal Flush on October 10, 2005, 12:21:28 AM call in a flash, then say "whay am i on this table" and leave.

By the way he turned over the nuts but turn ad river ------------ asp said it was obvious he had a straight and then had a go at me for calling - Title: Re: Did I play this hand wrong Post by: Dewi_cool on October 10, 2005, 12:30:26 AM you have to be cautious if the st8 is there ,u were lucky, tell him to F off and stick to MTT's
Title: Re: Did I play this hand wrong Post by: Nem on October 10, 2005, 12:32:52 AM Only a muppet plays a straight like that, you had to call and you should be playing .25/.50- .50/1nl with a $200 bankroll

He had the str8 but that doesnt make the call wrong. Title: Re: Did I play this hand wrong Post by: The Baron on October 10, 2005, 12:36:30 AM You are just unlucky here I feel. Most players would give you at least 1 chance to bet.

Title: Re: Did I play this hand wrong Post by: smithy69 on October 10, 2005, 12:53:59 AM I quit the table after winning 450
I am going back to MTT's and STT's Now realise my whole poker account was at stake on that hand, and realise that aint the way to play I have seen the light Title: Re: Did I play this hand wrong Post by: Ironside on October 10, 2005, 01:40:54 AM if your bankroll is now $600 only sit with $20 infront of you at anyone time, cash games poker isnt about winning that big hit its about grinding your bankroll up slowly with the odds in your favour
once you get it to about $1k you can then think about moving up so you have $50 in front of you also when i say dont sit on a table with more than $20 in front of you DON'T sit on a table that has a minium $20 buy in sit on a table where the MAXIMUM buy in is $20 |
