dunno about the mobile thing sorry. there are 3 or 4 blondes i can name off the top of my head with these, not heard of any problems yet. It probably depends on the phone - I set up a client's Nokia so they could get net access on holiday using a standard USB phone connection cable and the Nokia software downloaded from their site. Took all of 10 minutes. Title: Re: New Laptop Help Post by: RichEO on June 01, 2007, 02:39:59 AM Are you going to be playing at home or on the move? Maybe consider getting a seperate monitor for the times when the laptop screen isn't enough. It could save you £500+ on the price of those super resulution laptops (and that's taking off the cost of a 1600x1200 £260ish monitor).
Even a 17" (1280x1024) screen won't show more than 1 table (800x600) with no overlap. How many tables do you want to play and are you going to cascade them or do you want them with no overlap? Wouldn't worry about getting built in 3G or GPRS, your better off using a bluetooth phone or getting an add on card, than restricting your choice (severly!) by looking for one with built in 3G. Wi-fi should do you in built up areas anyway. |
