Title: Titan Poker Post by: Scottish Dave on October 11, 2005, 08:28:40 AM Have you looked at there games, in particular there Jackpot SitnGo's??
They have SnG's were if you win so many in a row you get a jackpot prize. There are 4 types to choose from: 1/ $50 buy ins 2/ $20 Buy ins 3/ $5 Buy ins 4/ $2 buy ins Obviously the higher stakes the higher the jackpot is, for instance: -Win 6 $50 buyins in a row - you get the top prize of $100,000 bonus! -Win 6 $20 buy ins in a row - you get $25,000 -Win 5 $5 buy ins in a row - you get $15,000 And last but not least, -Win 4 $2 buyins in a row - and you get $2000 ========================== Cut a long story short, i wanted to start small on this pokerroom so played a wee $2 buyin one.....And won it...woohoo So tried another wee $2 buy-in one.....and you guessed it....i won it again....woohoo At this point i started to sit up and think about this, and decided to go with the roll i was on and join my third consecutive SnG! And OH MY GOD!.....Ive just gone and won this third one aswell! Now im bricking it ($2000 might be peanuts to some of the pros around this board, but to me its a Massive Massive amount!!!!) So all i need to do i win just 1 more of these $2 buy-in SnG's, Which are 12 seaters BTW! Question is do i go for it just now, or wait till later when its quiet and i can focus! Need Help people! Dave Title: Re: Titan Poker Post by: MrMoves on October 11, 2005, 08:35:54 AM Take a break, play your normal 100% focused game when you return.

Title: Re: Titan Poker Post by: Div on October 11, 2005, 11:00:36 AM Unlucky Dave.
It's a shame you can't do a deal in a 12 seater SnG. 'Eh lads, if you let me win this $2 buy-in game, I'll give you $100 each.' Title: Re: Titan Poker Post by: Scottish Dave on October 11, 2005, 11:12:18 AM true mate but i read all the small print twice! to make sure and they were very very strict on all this, see rules below:
Titan Poker will pay a $2,000 Jackpot Prize to the winner of four consecutive $2+$0.35 “Dirty Dozen – Jackpot Sit ‘N’ Go” tournaments. This prize will be awarded according to the following terms and conditions: 1. Players who have won four consecutive 12-player “Dirty Dozen – Jackpot Sit ‘N’ Go” tournaments with a buy-in of $2+$0.35 will write to the Titan Poker support team at support@titanpoker.com for verification, providing details and dates of the tournaments. 2. The Jackpot prize will be paid only after the consecutive winning games have been checked for any signs of collusive play. 3. 4 consecutive Sit ‘N’ Go tournaments with the same 12 players will not be eligible for this promotion. 4. Players from the same IP address, or from the same household, are not eligible to enter the same Sit ‘N’ Go tournament for purposes of this promotion. 5. A player found trying to enter with more than one account into a Sit ‘N’ Go tournament will not be eligible for this promotion. 6. The use of offensive language at the Sit ‘N’ Go tournament will disqualify a player from winning a Jackpot prize. 7. Any player found colluding during the course of a Sit ‘N’ Go tournament in order to win the Jackpot prize will be disqualified and his account will be frozen. 8. Any player found to be “soft playing” in order to allow another player to win during the course of a Sit ‘N’ Go tournament will have his account frozen. 9. Any withdrawals made on any winnings of the Jackpot prize are subject to Titan Poker's standard withdrawal procedure and collusion check. 10. All decisions made by the Titan Poker management are final. 11. Titan Poker has the right to stop this promotion, or change its conditions at any time. Title: Re: Titan Poker Post by: -bw- on October 11, 2005, 01:03:54 PM Unlucky Dave,
I once won 5 $20 6 seater stt's in a row on betfair ( i then went on a losing run of 8) It must be very hard to put a run of four or six together if you now about this promotion the pressure will surely change your natural game. I wonder if anyone has won on this? Just imagine winning five and knowing if you win the sixth you get $100k, it must be hard and what a downer if you lose or come second :( I have an idea of what this feels like as on saturday I got five numbers up on the lottery and won £1754, thing is I cant stop thinking if only the sixth number had dropped in :-\ Title: Re: Titan Poker Post by: Coca919 on October 11, 2005, 01:39:17 PM UL dave... tough coming so close.
These promotions are such long shots but must be great when they come off. Wonder if anyone has taken the top 100k. I'm sure it can be done though... just a couple of weeks ago I won six £50 stt's on betfair in a row, an amazing run considering I'm sure prior to this my best ever is 3 or so in a row. Guess I was playing on the wrong site... Manage that on titan and it would have been 100k in the bag :o! Doh! Title: Re: Titan Poker Post by: Teacake on October 11, 2005, 01:42:25 PM Dave you bottle merchant, can't believe you let us all down like this!
(Someones got to keep his feet on the ground :)up) Seriously tho mate very unlucky you got your chips in when you were ahead as well. Title: Re: Titan Poker Post by: tikay on October 12, 2005, 12:56:31 AM Well, a litttle late on the scene (I've been to London today, just got back) but GREAT efort Dave, v v unlucky.
My PC has been down for a week (working now, fingers xx'd) so I have not downloaded Titan yet. What's your view on the site - graphics, ease of use, etc? Remember, give it to us straight, we don't have any long-term relationship with Titan in mind, I'm just curious. Title: Re: Titan Poker Post by: Robert HM on October 12, 2005, 01:15:33 AM Tedious sounds, tacky graphics, poor text facility. However soft games, even I am in profit
Title: Re: Titan Poker Post by: Karabiner on October 12, 2005, 01:21:01 AM One thing that bothered me slightly was that the confirmation email to open my account contained my password. Well the password when typed in to their site is ******** etc. So why would they send me the unencrypted job ? Title: Re: Titan Poker Post by: jezza777 on October 12, 2005, 01:23:14 AM I find it a bit tacky too , irritating, poor graphics just not my style really .
Title: Re: Titan Poker Post by: Scottish Dave on October 12, 2005, 01:24:35 AM Tony,
TBH mate, at first i didnt really like the site, i think its cos the graphics and lay out are very much like FullTiltPoker.com, where i had an extremely bad run of luck, and kind of scared me from going back there, (silly i know, but thats me). I am very very used to playing my online poker at Betfair (90% of the time), which in contrast is completely different from Titan, im almost all aspects ie Graphics, competence of opponents and Structure of Tourneys. However since i have registered for the Blonde 5K freerole on Titan (which i successfully managed to do today) i decided i better have a little SnG to give me a feel for the layout etc. I really fancied the jackpot SnGs, which this threat Talks about, and so joined a silly $2 Jobbie. Right from the off i noticed that the table action suited my style of play, which resulted in my taking an early chip lead and going on to win it. My first 4 games on this site resulted in: 1st, 1st, 1st and 3rd! (damn that still hurts to type) I was very reluctant about this site at first, mainly as i thought they were trying to muscle in on Blonde with Spamming etc etc, but thats all been cleared up by a very nice post by Yourself, and Tony G. I have since changed my mind on this site, and feel i will defo go back there on a regular, maybe even daily, basis. The only thing is, im not sure how highly regarded they are, or how many members/pros frequent there, it would defo be good to get some decent names on it. Regards Dave PS i forgot to mention there support, Which was fantastic, as i had come accross a major problem trying to register my card with them, due to it being Uk based and them situated in States. However within seconds of my registering, i had a chat window pop open and a lovely young woman, assist with my problems, and talked me through every step of the way (in the end i used www.Click2pay.com) She was extremely helpful and even gave me an instant $10 bonus, on top of my regular 100% bonus for depositing so quickly. all in all Great start by Titanpoker.com Title: Re: Titan Poker Post by: Scottish Dave on October 12, 2005, 01:37:17 AM After reading a few posts above me, i asked my self?
Would you rather play in good surrounding with bad tourneys or tacky surrounding with good tourneys and make some profit? I know my answer, Titans Graphics are very similar to FullTilts, and that is endorsed by the best names in this business :-\ But as they say, An opinion is like an Arsehole, We all have one ;) |
