Title: Epsom Oaks Post by: crown on June 01, 2007, 01:33:42 PM anyone got strong fancies for this race?
Title: Re: Epsom Oaks Post by: boldie on June 01, 2007, 01:41:49 PM nah..Oaks hasn't been easy to predict since Ouji board won it.I've stayed away from it today.
Title: Re: Epsom Oaks Post by: GlasgowBandit on June 01, 2007, 01:46:34 PM I really can't see by the favourite winning it but at the price I am not betting. instead I have taken a chance e/w on Cherry Hinton.
Title: Re: Epsom Oaks Post by: crown on June 01, 2007, 01:49:27 PM have taken 9/4 on the Fav and doubled it up with Authorized 10/11 for the Derby
Might have a few e/w bets later on too Title: Re: Epsom Oaks Post by: GlasgowBandit on June 01, 2007, 01:49:49 PM What about racing in general today?
I am off so having a few small punts before I head to Cincinnati Club for £25 freezeout. First up has to be the fav in the opener at Catterick. I know its very short but its not often Sir Mark has winners first time out. I'd suggest this horse could be a good thing. I'll post my thoughts on my other bets later. I need to head round the bookies just now and get them on. Financial management you see - taken so much out the bank the day to make sure I dont do my bollox. Title: Re: Epsom Oaks Post by: crown on June 01, 2007, 01:51:56 PM Good shout in the first Glasgow

Title: Re: Epsom Oaks Post by: boldie on June 01, 2007, 03:14:33 PM very happy with it...only got 8-1 this morning but now I see it started off at 6 I'm delighted :)
Title: Re: Epsom Oaks Post by: GlasgowBandit on June 01, 2007, 03:17:20 PM Bollox I thought Birthday Star was going to get there! An error of judgement by Brett Doyle in giving the winner an easy lead.
I can't seem to catch him on a winner, every time fancy something with him he seems to get beat or more importantly he seems to nobble good horses and win on big outsiders! Title: Re: Epsom Oaks Post by: boldie on June 01, 2007, 03:23:46 PM Bollox I thought Birthday Star was going to get there! An error of judgement by Brett Doyle in giving the winner an easy lead. I can't seem to catch him on a winner, every time fancy something with him he seems to get beat or more importantly he seems to nobble good horses and win on big outsiders! yeah that's what I had with Richard "Can't ride a favourite" Johnsson Title: Re: Epsom Oaks Post by: GlasgowBandit on June 01, 2007, 03:57:36 PM Right I am laying the fav in the oaks. the more I think about it the more I think Richard Hughes is a monkey - not that I have anything against monkeys!
But monkeys aren't built for riding horses. I am going to have a punt with Simply Perfect - to dig me out the whole I now fine myself in after dissapointing efforts from Sir Percy and birthday star. I managed to get £40 on at 17/2 £40 @ 8/1 and £20 on at 15/2. Come on!! Title: Re: Epsom Oaks Post by: scotty2hatty on June 01, 2007, 04:08:30 PM On All My Loving

Only small stakes so I'm not too fussed. Title: Re: Epsom Oaks Post by: GlasgowBandit on June 02, 2007, 02:01:52 PM Not a bad day yesterday at Epsom I made a small profit with my lucky 15's.
But ended up getting cuffed last night when on my way to the Stanley for the £10 rebuy I got a phone call with a tip and done my dosh on the fecker and ended the day down by £300 as I got a taxi home and chased with another £100 on the fav in the last at Goodwood. Title: Re: Epsom Oaks Post by: scotty2hatty on June 02, 2007, 02:02:45 PM Nasty stuff this gambling malarkey.
