have Ali28071 down as a maniac and notes on Klaviere suggest he is capable of making a squeezeplay with nothing and that he can also lay down a big hand. i felt sure this was a good spot to move..... I wonder if anyone can make a guess at how often AK is ahead pre-flop in this sort of situation at this level? I think I might also be tempted to think that his play here looks squeezy - reraise to $15 doesn't really look like it wants a call. But I'm not sure of how many players at $0.50/1 (apart from outright maniacs) are capable of making this move without JJ+ (probably QQ+ in most cases). If it were a reraise to $10-12, my suspicion would be that you'd show a substantial loss by basically shoving your stack in with AK here (with no knowledge of your player). But I say that as someone who normally plays full-ring games. Would be interested in anyone else's view. |
