Title: WSOP and Tax
Post by: Rugrat on June 05, 2007, 05:15:48 PM
I'm playing WSOP and I read somewhere that UK residents can complete a form so that, in the event they cash they are not going to be hit with US Tax ..... unlikely that I will, but you never know ... anyone know anything about these forms and where I can get one?

Harry Demetriou started a useful thread on this topic a few months back. Might be worth you digging it out.

Harry has posted a lot about this on various forums

You've nothing to worry about on this front, I cashed in event 3 this week and the team at the rio filled out all the forms for me and now I have an ITIN number I can use for life and didn't get anything withheld. Don't bother filling out any forms in advance or visiting any tax offices there's no need.
