Looking of some insight on how ppl would have played this hand. Would probally have been a much easier decision had I re-raised, hindsight is a wonderful thing! No read on the BB it is his first hand, lotteonm is playing tag only got 77 hands on him but seems pretty solid.

Tricky spot.

Pot is $100, and its $38 for you to call so you are getting nearly 3 to 1.
You can therefore justify a call, and play it strongly on the flop if an A or K hits.

Lotteonm's holding could be quite wide - AQ+, TT+ probably, but maybe even wider as he was raising in position, and his call was against a push from a SS, and a call from the SB.

Like to play aggressively from SB, and not leave too many flop decisions, but any raise here would leave you committed if Lottenm calls, which he probably would do with most of his range.

Going back in the hand, would have reraised the initial raise to about $26.

I don't really want to be reraising AK OOP to a solid player. What do you do if he calls and you miss the flop?

The only thing you want from a reraise here is a pass from the initial aggressor and I dont think he's going anywhere.

I guess with the pot odds you can call and try to hit but for me passing is a better option if this is a table you've been winning at.

It's a jam for me, isolate the SS.

This is more applicabe for mtt's. but squeexing is rife, flat call all raises with TT + and reap the rewards

Went the same way as flushy and pab were thinking here, thought about just raising but knew i would have to call a shove so just put it all in myself. He instafolded which surprised me a bit he must have called the re-raise pretty light, guess he wasn't quite as solid as i first thought!

I bet the all-in guy had junk too- medoicre at best. Cash poker 101: NEVER respect a short stack. :)

yeah was expecting him to turn over junk but he QQ out flopped him tho.  ;D

Even if he is the best cash player around?  Also what do u consider short stack in the cash game?   ;D

Best players dont buyin short. I like the flat call here, its a dry pot anyway and live player could be inducing the squeeze.
