Has anyone read any good articles on the old luck vs skill chestnut. I’m trying to explain to non poker players that its not gambling!!!

and if the articles are good enough to say that poker is a game of skill not luck then the lawyers for the Gutshot probably wouldnt mind taking a look too ;)

I think you are struggling because it is gambling.

It is gambling, but you can have an edge (if you're good enough).  Therefore, you can win long-term (once the short-term luck factors even themselves out).

This is different to the casino pit games, where the house has an edge, and therefore you will lose long-term (once the short-term luck factors have evened themselves out).

I gave up arguing with my mum a year ago on this!!!

Always pisses me off when people who play the lottery call me a gambler!!!! ffs!

What's your tip for the Hatton v Castillo fight this weekend?

Hatton is in good shape and needs a career definer like this one, he also has better boxing skills, dead cert to win.

My real tip is to avoid knockout bets, both men are big hitters and a lot of money is going on a short fight, it wont be, they both have proven chins and I see it going to points.

Hatton on Points if you can get better than evens.
