Title: Scarborough FC go out of business. Post by: brummieboy on June 20, 2007, 11:39:33 AM After 128 years they were wound up today and will be no more.
I feel sorry for any club going out of business and think a lot of the money in the English game should be filtered down to lower league/non-league clubs. However they had a Million pounds worth of debts, how can a non-league club be allowed to get in such debt in the first place. Title: Re: Scarborough FC go out of business. Post by: matt674 on June 20, 2007, 11:46:42 AM Probably because they were in debt when they were relegated from the football league, then they were relegated from the conference - they are hardly going to get themselves out of trouble attracting huge gates in the Conference North, nor will they receive any money from TV rights that far down the footballing pyramid.

Played there before in a friendly for Tadcaster v Scarborough Juniors. Title: Re: Scarborough FC go out of business. Post by: brummieboy on June 20, 2007, 11:24:54 PM It will be Leeds in a couple of years. ;D
