England have a horrendous record at penalties So do the Italians. I'm sure I read somewhere that German international & club sides have only ever lost 2 penalty shoot outs over the years. Sample size? we suck at penalties...atleast when it really matters we suck :( the good thing is the U21 side have a good coach..someone who instills teamspirit and a bit of fight..if only Foppe were to take over at the top level and we'd dump Van Basten we'd have a shot at winning a full national title (would be nice to keep the U 21 title though...we always sucked in the U-21's..and now we show we can compete Title: Re: Penalty Shoot-outs Post by: kinboshi on June 20, 2007, 10:51:24 PM At a club level, Liverpool have won something like 10 out of 11 (or is that 11 out of 12) penalty shoot-outs. Is this due to design, skill or luck. Probably mostly the latter.
Yes the Dutch out-perform the English most notably at two things. One is being poor at penalties, the other is a long-standing dislike of the Germans.
