I can understand that, if its me an her a tent is okay... Now the dilemma, kids or no kids..... I really want them to go and experiance it, but have you seen how much it is for a caravan.... Edit - Just looked at the cost and its an ectra £50.. Not bad....... I just got back had coach tickets and have to say it worked well - heard some stories of the London coach's that sounded anything but fine. Was a great weekend with some fine performances - massive improvements in the sound on the Other stage but sadly a massive quality drop in sound on the Pyramid. That mud is bloody hard work, but the walkways held up much better this year. Musically for me - Gogol Bordello and Arcade Fire were everything I hoped they would be, the former putting on a true main stage performance. Maximo Park and Babyshambles were just excellent, and good to see Docharty stick two fingers up and do a excellent straight performance a fantastic band he now has around him as well. F*** Forever was a true festival experience. Surprises included the Rakes, (cough) Mika, The View and The Earlies who were all brilliant, The Who, Fratellis (could be massive if the front man could find a personality), Winehouse and the Killers were all disappointing for one reason or another. Proud to have heard the Marley's on the Sunday was a great tribute to a great album and a great man. As for next year please a true dry one, a normal ticket and let my sources be right for once and let us have the long awaited headline set we are owed from The Stone Roses. The council told them to turn the sound down on the Pyramid stage because the weather conditions meant the noise carried too far towards the village. New rig altogether as well - even when it was cranked for the Who, it still lacked power/penetration, and that was highlighted by the fact the Other stage was booming, running on the old Pyramid rig. The turning down on Saturday was for the Killers and lets be honest I think that was a wise move all round. Had a great time as usual. New sound system on the pyramid was pathetic. I'm not a massive killers fan but my friends are so i went along and it was sooooo quiet, all were really pissed off as the mud was at its stickiest and we needed to have the music blow us away to lift our spirits. jamie T, artic monkeys and surprisingly mark ronson was a great show. till next year. |
