Title: Staying ahead of the game Post by: Geo the Sarge on June 26, 2007, 10:27:54 AM Hi all,
Over the last few weeks I have become more and more aware of the efforts from the Blonde staff and the enormous amount of work that is undertaken to keep the likes of me happy. Whether it is trying to keep the peace when threads get a bit hot, sorting out problems with connections, payments, registrations etc. Over the last few weeks we have seen the introduction of the following: Blondepedia. An amazing collection of pictures and information of some of the world great players. Obviously this has taken a lot of time and has been collated with the help of some great input from not only staff but members. A fantastic creation by Snoopy with the aid of so many others. Blonde shop. Again an amazing amount of time spent gathering info on what us as members would like, the wheeling and dealing to get the best product at the right price and then the creation of the online shop itself. Once set up all questions answered quickly and positvely by Tighty and Ginger. Blonde league. This has been a fantastc event with enjoyable poker. No pressure, plenty of banter and a chance to play games that I, for one, had never ventured into before. did I make any points yet? No, but for an average of $10 a go I sure have had my moneys worth of entertainment. great job Kev. Blonde/Virgin team event. What an inspirational idea and what a great partnership. haven't as yet played on the Virgin site and don't know what it's like but am I bothered, naaah. To have a company such as Virgin on board with a Blonde event is a great achievement and must have taken some arranging, well done all involved. Live updates. I know these have been going for some time but aren't they just the best, big grats to Snoopy, Jen, Floppy and Dana. So much pleasure given to so many (and the updates are great too - lol) I for one would like to say a big thanks to all involved with Blonde, from the staff to the members who consistently amaze me with their knowledge and humour. In the last week I have been intrigued by the amount of info gathered on evolution, religion and faiths and of course whats happening in the Barred Blondes house. A special shout to Tikay. I was speaking to him in Dublin and was mockingly suggesting he must be on some sort of performance enhacing substance as the guy just does not stop. Whether it's for Blonde, APAT, Sky, playing various fessies and tours and all the arranging that I can imagine within the Blonde community he just seems to be everywhere, and at that age too. Well done Sir. Overall a very well done to all, and as my title suggests it is all about staying ahead of the game. it probably means so much more to the likes of me, a low limit, not got much money guy and it is greatly appreciated. Go on the Blondes!! Geo Title: Re: Staying ahead of the game Post by: Acidmouse on June 26, 2007, 10:49:37 AM The site and staff (including forum mods) do a wicked job. Also the thing I like most is the help other users are willing offer.
I mean I got half price sky+HD becasue of this forum, a great deal on a car, a very cheap hotel deal when I visited London:P Title: Re: Staying ahead of the game Post by: TheChipPrince on June 26, 2007, 11:17:02 AM Blonde league. League has been excellent to play in, and it has been a pleasure to get consistently Blonde/Virgin team event. Signed up for Virgin last night and played a few low limit SNG's to give it a whirl. Without exception, on every table I played I was called an 'idiot'. Couldn't believe how perceptive and well informed these guys were............. ;nemesis; Title: Re: Staying ahead of the game Post by: JungleCat03 on June 26, 2007, 11:55:00 AM :goodpost:

Title: Re: Staying ahead of the game Post by: fearisthekey on June 26, 2007, 12:20:07 PM You are right.
The strange thing about this site is that it's not just a good resource but one of the best places on the net to find an informed response on.....anything. Pretty much everywhere on the net any debate about anything significant, from God to Bernard Manning to roast potatoes descends pretty quickly into a 4c ;tracet; >:( ;yellowcard; ;grr; ;tk; ;ashamed; :dontask: ;snoopy'sguns; ;nemesis; ;frustrated; flame war. That kind of thing is almost totally absent here. This is partly because your average poker player is a bit more savvy than the rest of the populous (fact) but has a lot to do with careful but firm modding. Go mods. I will play a bit more on Blonde as a gesture of support. Expect dead money. Title: Re: Staying ahead of the game Post by: Geo the Sarge on June 26, 2007, 12:33:03 PM You are right. Oh, and you forgot Sarks lovely corguettes. Geo Title: Re: Staying ahead of the game Post by: Nakor on June 26, 2007, 12:41:12 PM Great post Geo and Fear.
Sentiments I can only echo. I was strange to turn on yesterday after some days away to see, God is a delusion, Blonde had got into Bed with numerous Virgins, evolution had been explained, the JC BB house had many new visitors and courgettes could taste great, all coupled with the usual excellent online pieces and Hand Analysis - a simply wonderful place.
