Just browsing Flush magazine in W H Smiths and noticed a photo and article on Tikay's recent live success.
Stardom at last.

PS As a side issue a slight grumble about W H Smith in that they never seem to know where to place the poker magazines and often have to hunt around the store to find them. At their London Bridge store they now have them next to their gay monthly magazines section.  ::)

Makes sense when you think of it...it's called "Cross selling", Flushy must use that store ;)

know what you mean about WH smith though...I can't find pokerplayer magazine anywhere in the WH smith at Glasgow Central anymore...so will now have to find a new WH to buy it from...and that's atleast a 15 minute walk :(

I think i saw 3 mags Flush, WPT and online gaming, no poker player in site.

I didn't realise anyone actually paid for poker magazines...

You can walk into any cardroom in the country and walk out with arms fulls of mags without paying a penny.

the stanley where I play only has poker europe (not any good) and poker pro europe..actually quite a decent read from the looks of it.
Pokerplayer mag is the best though I have to say I haven't tried inside poker yet

Personally I rarely read the ones I get for free.

They're all full of stuff I've read on the internet a month ago, and in many cases it's not as well written...

I wrote what turned out to be a somewhat controversial Article for Inside Poker this month, (a tad tongue-in-cheek, I'll admit) comparing Pot Limit & No Limit. Mr Hellmuth ain't gonna be best pleased - & he's now agreed to be interviewed by us (Poker Week) next week. Think It'd be best if Rhow or Compo to do the interview. If he asks who this tikay fella is, we''ll all deny knowledge of him.

Look carefully and you will see I am mentioned in the latest "Flush" too.

Inside poker is like the more serious and informative big bro of pokerplayer magzine, much much better and also they offer gd comps aswell. The articles are written by some of the best, and tikay!

I don't believe I mentioned or even alluded to Mr Ulliott in either of the two Articles of mine I have been commissioned to write for Inside Poker by Sky Poker.

I recall mentioning - favourably - Mr Colclough & Mr Wernick, & also mentioned Mr Hellmuth.

peter eichhardt mentioned in his blog an elderly english poker player sponsored by a UK bookmaker who is a complete fish. he doesn't say who it is, my guess was that he was probably talking (unfairly) about Mr Wernick but this thread has reminded me that there is another elderly UK poker player isn't there Tikay :)

I do not "slag off" people.

I did not mention, refer, allude or even think about Mr Uliott in the two Inside Poker articles.

The Article by Dave Colclough was written by him, not me, & had nothing to do with me.

In the 6 month old thread you linked to, I simply answered, honestly, some points raised, & repeated the gist of a conversation Mr Ulliott & myself had. I WAS "involved" in that conversation, as the Thread clearly explains, & I reported it faithfully.

I really don't want peole getting the impression that my Articles said what you are suggesting. Sky Poker paid me to write them, & as such, I don't think the Articles (poor as they may well be) should be defamed by such comments. Nor do I think you should suggest I have "slagged off" Mr Ulliott.

I am not Chairman of the Devilfish Fan Club, (for reasons many people know), nor, I imagine, does he give too much thought to me. But when I have a problem with him, I tell him direct, to his face.  I don't "slag him off" (or anyone else) in the printed Media.

If you read what I write, generally, you find I write & say very little about those I find less than wholly agreeable. Live & let live, eh?

Your Post suggests I was critical of Mr Uliott in the Inside Poker Articles. That is wholly untrue.

I think he was saying you weren't involved in slagging off Devilfish, but managed to get the blame anyway...

My wording was off and was supposed to mean that devilfish blamed you for an inside edge article you were not even involved in. I have no reference to the articles you actually wrote but was merely observing on the one you hadnt and that the comments that had been made by a third party had some how been linked to you which i found interesting to say the least! the "tikay just uses it" was a very poor way of expressing what i was trying to say and if it were possible i would have edited it had i known such a misunderstanding would take place.
I understand it is a slur on your character and reputation to suggest you use articles published in well known magazines to "slag off" people, and as such i will expect a letter from your lawyer regarding the date of court proceedings.

FWIW, Mr Ulliott never blamed me for the article DC wrote, but he vented his wrath on me - whilst DC was standing just a few feet away. They later had their own tete-a-tete.

I've never met Devilfish I have taken an instant dislike to his jewellery. I've seen some rings in my time  ::) but his are just not nice.

I have never read Flush Magazine, I thought it was a publication for plumbers.
