I don't trust any poker review site - I assume they're all paid adverts masquerading as independent reviews. Title: Re: Calling all poker people Post by: Shogun112 on July 03, 2007, 02:05:38 PM Bets place is... WWW.BLONDEPOKER.COM ... by far..

I'm always on a deadline... you guys got the easy side of the poker world!!! lol hmmm.... you dont trust review sites, I can see your point but not all of them are over paid layabouts getting paid to tell people what they get paid too (lol). There must be other sites out there you guys look at? Title: Re: Calling all poker people Post by: kinboshi on July 03, 2007, 02:28:16 PM I use this one fairly regularly: http://shorl.com/jevafrybomiji

There must be other sites out there you guys look at? I honestly can't think of a site which I would say gives properly independent reviews, not tied to advertising at all. BTW, the reason for all the joke links is that, even if we did know of any sites, we wouldn't be allowed to link to them. Title: Re: Calling all poker people Post by: tikay on July 03, 2007, 02:47:16 PM Article deadline again? I don't trust any poker review site - I assume they're all paid adverts masquerading as independent reviews. Got it in one. Anyone who believes otherwise is deluding themselves. They ONLY review the sites because they have a vested interest, via affiliate deals or advertising income. Surely everyone realised that?! There is not, to my knowledge, any objective or independent site that Reviews sites honestly. Title: Re: Calling all poker people Post by: fearisthekey on July 03, 2007, 02:48:08 PM yeah, what Andrew says. I do know one site with good reviews, but I know I can't post it. It rates 'fishiness' which is nice.
As for the others: yeah, a lot of rubbish around. The better the affiliate deal they have with the site, the better the review. I'd love to find a site that had a chart of sites' sit n go ratings, blind structures, etc. sorry can't help, player. meantime, someone see how many redirects with tinyurl and shorl you can wrap up in one hyperlink :) Title: Re: Calling all poker people Post by: fearisthekey on July 03, 2007, 02:49:29 PM Article deadline again? I know one site with fantastic structures, very fish players and super MTT deals, it is called blondepoker and everyone should play there. Pint of bitter, please, tony. Title: Re: Calling all poker people Post by: AndrewT on July 03, 2007, 02:53:07 PM You may think the extent is simply 'more money equals better review' but it's more pernicious than that.
Sometimes the sites don't even write the review at all, but get the poker room to write it themselves. The review site then just sticks this text up as 'the review'... Angell says no beer for you until that Cat Avatar goes. It upsets him, he lays awake worrying about it, and it's making him ill. Pawly, even. I think the result of that would be a worm hole. Title: Re: Calling all poker people Post by: The Player on July 03, 2007, 02:59:46 PM Hmm.... all very interesting :)
I kinda figured you couldn't post them up here but i decided I'd ask just in case lol... ya never know :D anyhoo... i know the fishy site your on about and i'm checking them out now :) As for the others, it honest to god never crossed my mind that the sites didn't actually review the rooms. lol, I guess i just have too much faith in the business world, which is daft considering what i've seen in the jobs i've had LMAO! ah well, cheers anyway guys! :)up p.s.... you guys are totally random lol |
