Title: You talk. Sky Poker listen. Post by: tikay on July 03, 2007, 05:38:27 PM Am down at Sky Poker Land today, & been earholing outside the Boss's office.
So, "The Open" is too fast? Too slow? Right, as of now, they have a Tourney each night at 8.30 called "Slow Boat". £3.30 to enter, £500 Guaranteed. 2,000 chips and........15 minute blind levels. That's right. 15 minute blind levels. On Sky Poker! Too slow now? OK, next Tuesday, the Show will be an all-singing all-dancing "Velocity" night. To the surprise of many, the ultra-fast Velocity has proven immensely popular. So Tuesday next will be Velocity night. £4.500 Guaranteed Prize Pool, for £5 Entry. Oh, & the other complaint they've been hearing more & more is that the TV Tourneys - The Open & Velocity - sell out each night. So next Tuesday's Velocity Special will have a ceiling of 1,000 runners, so that gives a bit more headroom. And if one's too fast, & the other too slow, well, "The Open" remains as was. Oh, while I have my Spam Hat on (I know, I know....) - this Friday's £25,000 Guaranteed Primo (£55 to enter) already has 401 players registered! So if you wanna play that, get in quick. Title: Re: You talk. Sky Poker listen. Post by: RichEO on July 03, 2007, 05:57:41 PM Slower tournament sounds good. Would like to see the open with that structure - televised and a £10 buy in would be great, I'll probably give the Slow boat a go.

There's always going to be a trade-off between the show and the tournament structure. A £10 buy-in with 15-minute levels would be great - could start earlier and the play and hand analysis would be much better, as the play would be better. Small steps... Title: Re: You talk. Post by: Miami Vic on July 04, 2007, 06:22:33 PM Comments about slow blinds and buy-in for The Open noted: but we do have to try and keep the duration of the full televised game to a sensible length for live and repeat transmission. The Velocity structure should work fine for TV next Tuesday, because it's crazy mad fast. Have fun.
Yo Teacake, are you still on for dinner in Vegas? I hear the Emperor's Buffet at the Majestic Palace hotel is eight bucks. Is that in your pirce range? Vic from Miami Title: Re: You talk. Sky Poker listen. Post by: RED-DOG on July 04, 2007, 06:36:37 PM My comment was somewhat tongue in cheek Vic. Sky Poker has broken new ground and been amazingly successful, I can't argue with that.

The guidebook I got was a knock-off. S,me of the facst may be misinterpretized. Thanks for the correction...but the big question is whether Teacake is going to pay or not! Title: Re: You talk. You are now a true blonde, & you can patent that word. Title: Re: You talk. Sky Poker listen. Post by: SkyPokerGirls on July 05, 2007, 07:33:54 PM Hi Karabiner, to answer your question about Neteller... it's something that Sky Poker is looking at but there are no definitive plans to have this as a deposit option yet.
Phatomch, you should be able to cash out of the likes of roulette straight away - if you're having any problems with regards to cashing out just contact customer services. Hope this helps. Best, SPG Title: Re: You talk. Sky Poker listen. Post by: ariston on July 05, 2007, 07:37:40 PM fantastic show and I've kind of let it slip under my radar for a bit- may play it tonight.
One suggestion would be to have your most successful studio guests back on (I remember the highest any of your guests have finished was 4th and he was quite a handsome chap as well). The most successful guests could be rewarded with a jacuzzi with the sky poker girls after the show maybe? Title: Re: You talk. Sky Poker listen. Post by: Indestructable on July 05, 2007, 08:09:40 PM Bad news Ariston you are yesterdays man.
Arise Rick Dacey 2nd place finisher. ;tightend; Unless of course your idea is stretched to the guests making the top 11. ;whistle; Title: Re: You talk. Sky Poker listen.
