Title: Betting Pot Preflop
Post by: sovietsong on July 07, 2007, 12:13:08 AM
Does anybody raise pot preflop regardless of hand, i have started playing on FT, and have found that most people just pot it pre.

I have tried this and quite like it, raising the same in unopened pots/1 limper with AA or 98s.

What are the possible downsides of my lazy click pot option?

cash or tournament?

In a tourny if raising to steal then beting the pot can cost more if you get repopped and cant call. In effect you are risking more when there is no need.

Cashwise - not sure if it is a big issue but I am not a good cash player.

The reason for potting it is the damn slider is a nightmare to get to 3xbb.

Just started playing cash on Full Tilt and my 3xbb raise has gone out of the window, pot every time now, can help create bigger pots however your post flop play has to be good. What Limits are you playing on tilt?

Dont like this tbh, i like to keep preflop pots small and see cheap pots in position against weak opponents. I think the correct strategy change would be to tighten up pre and dont play oop deepstacked as you could get fked.
