Why are correct challenges deducted?

Was thinking the same myself.  You are penalised for their mistake effectively.

Yes it is.   Top two seeds from the draw have got through (as expected really).

they have to because otherwise the games would take about 10 hours with the number of correct challenges they make

some of the lines people have worse miss reads than tikay

I thought this was the case, but I'm sure Nadal's correct challenge in the first set brought him down to 2 challenges remaining.

It would make sense if correct challenges weren't penalised.

Absolutely everything  ;D .  I hadn't actually noticed she was a tennis player until I heard Jimmy Connors mention her tennis ability yesterday , lol

Don't they only get two challenges but a third if it goes to a tie breaker.
