Title: WSOP MAIN EVENT: DAY 1D - Interactive Post by: Djinn on July 09, 2007, 01:37:22 PM We'll be back to cover the fourth start day of the Main Event at 12pm (8pm UK time). Originally planned as a break day, will the fourth starting day see yet another increase in numbers, or will 1C have seen it peak? Back to the beginning for one more 6-level run...

We are starting at 8pm Irish Time. The Rock was up at 7.15am getting ready and in confident form. The Wasp is still bleating on about being Claremorris No. 1. A little side bet I do think. Anyway all is well updates are hourly and no spectators allowed in the Pavillion. . The Wasp has just awoken from his slumber talking about being World No. 1 how much can I listen to.

Title: Re: WSOP MAIN EVENT: DAY 1D - Interactive Post by: CrestOfaWave on July 09, 2007, 04:45:10 PM Was good speaking to you yesterday Snoopy. Just after I left you I watched a few tables this hand being the most memorable.
Blinds $200/$400 ante $25 No action until hijack raises $1200 Button flat call $1200 SB and BB fold Flop 2s 4d Jd hijack checks Button raises $1200 hijack re- raises $6000 Chips then fly in... Hijack flips Js Jh Button flips Kc Ks ( no diamond notice - plus he was wearing cardrunner gear so possibly a sponsored player). Turn = Kd OUcho River blank Watching the guy with trip jacks stare at the turn was a really gut wrenching moment. We've all been there but to bust out like this in the Main Event is enough to make you cry. ps side note - went and watched Ivey, Brunson, Harman et all in Bobby's Room at the Bellagio. I always thought Bobbys Room was on the top floor of the Hotel didnt realise it was in the main card room. Watched Ivey win a few massive pots after earlier busting out of the Main Event. You could register right up until the last minute (in fact, as far as I know it's still open) and they were running a turbo satellite. A $1k turbo - we're probably talking ten minute blinds. Anyone know anyone who's got in via this route?
I hope all your friends get to the first break without bluffing off their entire stacks ;) Within the first level I will probably be able to bring you the full number of runners in the Main Event this year - watch this space. Hourly.# P.S. I have located everyone except Keviin Williams, who is not on the provisional list for today - I will be needing a table number to provide updates - probably even on people I know... I wonder if you could try to update/get photos of 2 good freinds, John (KunkuWap) Tabatabai table 69 seat 8 and Chris (Redorblack) Hinton Table 52 seat 6 (previously mentioned by Mr Dog as seat 7 but you cant miss him, the smallest but loudest player at the table) I know its not always easy and you have to update on lots of players but anything you can do would be awesome. Thanks in advance guys, have a great day. Title: Re: WSOP MAIN EVENT: DAY 1D - Interactive Post by: hlmsdog on July 09, 2007, 08:42:49 PM apologies if i gave the wrong seat - got it from the horses mouth in the early hours this morning lol
unlike phinnies, i just want the updates - u can keep the phots LOL :)up Title: Re: WSOP MAIN EVENT: DAY 1D - Interactive Post by: Djinn on July 09, 2007, 08:59:28 PM The first sweep has located, among (many) others, in addition to all prior requests:
Padraig Parkinson Daniel Negreanu Casey Kastle Daniel Smits Bertelsen Dusk Til Dawn's Fredrik Ostervold Kevin Daly Dario Minieri Erik Lindgren Sverre Sundbo Surinder Sunar Vivi Saethren Torstein Iversen Freddy Deeb Gavin Smith Odd Lavik Adeeb Harb Thomas Middelthon Paul Testud Thor Hansen Samir Shakhtoor Steve Zolotow Philip Yeh Christian Grundtvig Joseph Rafferty (is this the one we know?) David Berggren Phil Hellmuth Erica Schoenberg David Benyamine Antonio Esfandiari Jamie Gold Keir Fitzgibbon Edward Moncada Jon Kalmar The first elimination took almost 20 minutes today - that's quite a long time by WSOP day one standards. Spotted sitting side-by-side (pictured) are George Danzer and Roberto Romanello - what happens when the Panzer meets the Mouth? That's not a phrase I would have ever expected to use. Also pictured: Danny McHugh and Enda McGarrity Paul 'Pab' Foltyn, who couldn't resist extending his trip to cover the old M.E, who says, "I'm not too keen on the pink wristband," immediately drawing my attention to his pink wristband, a very recent innovation, I believe, to let players in and keep spectators out in the early levels. Final picture: The Amazon Room, at capacity. Title: Re: WSOP MAIN EVENT: DAY 1D - Interactive Post by: mai916 on July 09, 2007, 09:14:46 PM Hey guys if you can find Chris "hattrick8810" Odle for me it would be greatly appreciated. You guys did such a great job at Monte Carlo for his friends and family we can't wait for more of your coverage. He is most likely wearing some sort of bodog hat or shirt or both.
