Limond is a tidy enough boxer although lacks punching power. It was the safest title fight out there for Khanand his chin won't be tested but it will be interesting to see how he deals with a competent fighter as opposed to the tomato cans he has faced so far.

I predict a mid-late stoppage for Khan

Looks like a catchweight contest.  Khan is massive

Good test so far, think Khan will have more class though to win on points

Why do they have to go to break every round?  like to hear what the corners are saying.

He has no chin

Go on Limond

Class comeback from Kahn.  Limond missed his chance

Big questions raised over Kahns defence and chin though, a bigger puncher would have finished him

If he does toughen up that chin then he could be unstoppable,  so quick and so strong

Great fight.  Showed more about Khan than all his other fights put together.  He showed that he could get back up, and did what he had to do.

We know he's not the finished article, but he's a hell of a fighter.

Absolutely.  He was in with a very good fighter, and got tagged.  Khan looked too eager to land big shots early on and didn't look as loose as he usually does.  Credit to Limmond for taking the fight to him.

That right cross that broke Limmond's jaw was a perfect punch - Limmond must have some balls to keep on fighting after that.

I had my doubts before the fight about Khan..they are bigger now.  He has a lot of work to do and needs to tighten that defence right up because if he doesn't it will be goodnight when he steps in the ring with a decent puncher although I think it will be a while before we see that.  It will be interesting who he takes on next, domestically there is Thaxton and Murray.  Murray in particular would be a very interesting fight imo.

Would love to see if Enzo Maccarinelli can 'bulk up' and fight at heavyweight.  He'd take these two apart in his sleep.

I'm looking forward to Haye stepping up.  Hopefully he beats Mormeck for the Cruiserweight title and then steps up.

This fight sums up the state of the heavyweight division in general and not just in Britain, given the fact that the winner has a title shot lined up.

Haye as well - absolutely.  In fact, when they eventually meet in the ring, it should be at heavyweight (more money for them, more exposure, etc.).  I think if they can make the move up that they'd be able to compete at world level (with the heavyweight scene being as it is).

I think the judges made up those scores as they were asleep throughout the fight.

Completely agree - for a guy who supposedly cant punch he made Kahn look silly for a while there. World class fighters in this divison will murder Kahn.

At this weight you will get hit as the top guys are fast, if you have no chin you will struggle.

Bit OTT baron, i know what you're sayin but the kid is too good to get murdered by any one in this division.

I'd dispute that he doesn't have a chin - he had no guard which meant he got tagged - but surely the fact that he got hit cleanly on the button and still had his senses (although obviously shaken) means he does have some resilience to punches?

The other thing to remember is that it was Khan's 13th fight.  Most fighters aren't on telly until far later along their pro career, and so their flaws as they learn the pro game aren't highlighted as much as Khan's are.  He definitely needs to sort out his defence, and also learn to be more patient.  He looked 'mechanical' last night, and was trying to put 100% into every shot, rather than letting the punches flow to open the other fella up, and then try and land a bigger shot.

He learnt more last night than in all the other pro fights he's had.  We also learnt that he's got the balls and the ability to pick himself up when it gets tough, and battle through.

The next 5 or so fights will see Khan improve considerably, as he'll have to as he steps up in class.

good show by Khan. learned some hard lessons

OMG did the Skelton Sprott fight get a draw??????????????

I turned over on the bell for WPT on challenge. never thought for a second anything other than a Skelton win.
That's amazing

I quite like watching Skelton fight. He's obviously no great boxing legend but I he's brutal and that's how I like my fighting. I'd love to see him step back into Muay Thai / cage fighting. you can tell his instinct is still to throw stuff not allowed in boxing.

Skelton won the fight on a split decision.  Shocking as he was miles ahead on everyone's cards except for the judges.

He threw a cracking punch into Sprott's kidney when he'd been turned in the corner.  He certainly has never read the queensbury rules.

To be honest though, Skelton did what he needed to do last night, it wasn't his fault Sprott didn't come to fight.

I agree.

I also thought the booing and slow clapping was disgraceful. I've seen worse fights not get anywhere near that reaction. late on there was continuous booing continuous punching by Skelton. bloke was working his ass off

Just 2/1 to stop him though. 9/1 is the knockout. TKO is 11/4.
Would you still take the 9/1?

Oh, I see - misread.

Not interested in a KO bet, very rarely happens.  TKO far more likely.
