I am just at that point of my life where family is becoming important - never really had a close family if I'm honest. Anyway I was adopted and never met my blood mother, I recently got this photo and I just wanted to share it.

It was taken a few weeks before she died, I really regret that we never had a chance to meet, I'm meeting up with my half sister in August - quite strange - I've never shared a gene with anyone before  :)

Me and a friend in the first picture - I'm on the left, my Mum is in the second - I think my mother and I have a similar look.

Thanks for sharing. It must be a tremendous feeling to know you do share genes:)  My dad was adopted and he passed away when I was 10. Later in life I went to meet his 'biological' family. It was a very emotional meeting. One of my nephews best friends is actually my cousin and we would never have known the family had I not got the notion into my head once apon a time:)

yes - I couldn't make the picture slice her off, and it was the one where my hair is like my Mums so it makes me look more like her I think.
