Ok, my list would go something along the lines of this, but again hard to limit to 10. I'm a bit of a movie freak underneath, and even ended up managing a video store for a few years, and they called it work??? LOLOL!

City of Angels
The Green Mile (still not as good as the book, but i still cried for John Coffee)
Labyrinth
Shawshank Redemption
The Matrix (all of them, is that cheating?)
American History X (a very shocking film, but a MUST SEE)
Bladerunner
Back to the Future (again, loved all of them, had a HUGE crush on Michael J Fox :-[)
Leon
Rounders
Goonies (I know that's 11, but I could list many many more!)

Heid, seen them and love BOTH of them, John Travolta as a Angel.....mmmmmmmmmmmmmm the part where the feather falls to the ground after he "helps" the little dog had me in tears!!  and Truely Madly Deeply is a deeply moving film, but very funny at the same time. Both should be in there but i just didn't have the room.  :'(

They are my main rivals in the shape of their Irish chain Xtra-Vision. DVD is only a small part of my shops and it is only the older 3 for €30 stuff I sell. Main business is video games.

Friday rules.

Most quoteable film ever!

Not for me, I rarely don't finish watching a film no matter how bad but this was an exception. I only put it on to see why it was selling so well. Approximately 99.99% of purchasers are under 25 and wear tracksuits all day long.  O0.

Most requested special order DVD's -

Child's play 1 - N/A on region 1 for some unknown reason when the inferior 2, 3 & Bride of Chucky are.
The Snapper - An Irish film N/A in Ireland, Irish!
The Van - ditto
A.W.O.L - by women exclusively
The History of the world part 1
Abi Titmuss / Paris Hilton
Above the Rim - mostly by Friday purchasers

Interesting stuff so far. Heres mine, though I'm afraid its betraying my former film student ways a tad.....

My top 15 (couldn't manage top 10):

Rear Window
Sonatine
Andrey Rublev (Russian movie, very long but like nothing else)
Evil Dead 2 ("Groovy")
Destry Rides Again
The Thin Red Line (1998 version)
The Thing (John Carpenter version)
Paris, Texas (cinematography is amazing)
Oldboy (a new one, and a good one)
My Girl Friday
The Hidden Fortress
Aliens
The Godfather
Rio Bravo (most imitated western ever?)
Annie Hall (for everything)

Ands thats leaving out way too many films I really love.....

In no particular order other than the Warriors which is my favourite film, my top ten is:

1. the Warriors - even though I not too impressed with the recent Ultimate director's cut DVD as it has no director's commentary

Manhunter
Romero & Juliet
Moulin Rouge
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
A Clockwork Orange
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Metropolis
Lolita
H.R.Puf n Stuf  :)

Currently watching a lot of late 70's, early 80's films like the Exterminator, Visiting Hours, Angel, the Bronx Warriors, Endgame. Hopeful some of you guys can recommend some classics from that period.
