just wanted to post and say thanks for the titan freeroll

if ye dont already know i was second

the thing is that it seems to be said that the 2 of us winners were not blondepoker people, this may be true to a point but it was through this site that i signed up.

As i am new here this is no suprise, but i just wanted to say thanks to the organisers and every one who played it was a great night.

I did not believe i would finish so high but will be glad to give ye all a chance to win the money back in future events through blond poker.

You sure kept schtum during the tourney, and when you did speak you said you didn't remember how you signed up?

this might not go down too well but here goes anyway.

i did not play in the titan event so it doesnt effect me and i didnt know during the tourny that zwolf "couldnt remember how he signed up" but it seems a bit strange to me that 2 days after the end of the tourney and 1 hour after tikay made a post saying that the imposters would not receive the extra money that blonde were adding that zwolf decides to join blonde.

why did he not join blonde when he regiestered for the tourney to say who he was?, or during the tourney when he was asked? or even straight after the tourney so everybody knew who he is? but after tikay made his post

bongo, if you were playing in a tourny you shouldn't be  and somebody asked you what was your name on blondepoker and how did you register would you not go and have a look at what site they are on about??

I'm sure zwolf isnt on here looking for more money.

After all if as he admits he wasnt a forum member, he played the tourney as a $5k event unaware that it could potentially be a $10k prize fund so can have no quibble as he was paid out on the $5k pool.

He was paid out only for 2nd place no extra money that everyone else got. If he did register via blondepoker I will arrange for more money to be sent to him. It is all in the tracking system. Does anyone know what his nick was on titanpoker?

but first hi and thanks to HEID for the welcome

I found blonde last month from a link in pauly tao of poker (he a good reporter and some of ye have met him)

I read the poker diarys etc etc and was very impressed with the content, esp the exploits of dave and the european tour.

I noticed the add for the freeroll on the blonde site so i signed up and registered about a month beford the tourney i was 3 on the list on titan.

I went on holidays for the rest of the time and was back thursday day before tourney.

The blonde site does not have a register here banner so belive me i could not figure out how to register.

TODAY i had a look around and saw the forum so when reading it i noticed the posts about the winners not being from blonde, so because people were concerned about this i signed up to the forum.

SO the reality is i am/was not a blonde as such but i am not affiliated nor belong any where elce.

Again the reason i signed up at all is because if ye as players are willing to make the effort to organise and run events than ye have my support.

If the tourney was not A FREEROLL i would still have paid my money to play.





The other thing is that i play poker in bed, believe it or not and my keyboard is accross the other side of the room, thus when i play its hard to type so i am quiet at the tables. Add to this that no one knew me and i will be careful not to upset anyone, some typechat can appear strange unless the other people know you, at times anyway.


OK SO I am a poker player in Ireland, south of the country, City  CORK.  The MACAU club is the local card room here, some of ye know this place small but good enough.

Again i signed up because a site such as blondepoker deserves support from the players for what i can offer in a small way

Ok if anyone believes me or not zwolf came in via blondepoker.com  tracker so he was a full blondite when he played on Titan, we seem to be against new memerbs here? or is it just the me. I will be arranging him $500 extra to be sent today from blondepoker.

i dont think that statement is true tony, we are not against new members at all as we were all new members at some point, it is just new members should be here because they want to be and for the right reasons not just to get a bit extra cash or to win a prize for being the 2000th member.

it has been proved he signed up via blonde so fair enough i was just questioning the timing of it as it looked a little fishy which some members agree with.

anyway all is said and done so welcome zwolf sorry if there is any misunderstanding, i hope you enjoy blonde as much as the rest of us :)up

We've never been against new members here, we generally welcome everyone who pops up as a new member, as I did to Brian :)

Technically zwolf wasn't a member of the forum - so should blonde be giving him an extra $500? Can I hazard a guess that this is one for the holder of the Blonde purse strings - ie Tikay and Dave?

Normally we have to post our forum names and cite playing names so all can be tallied up, and anyone not in with both is dq'ed.

No offence to you Brian, but I am sure you can see the dilemma if we are to set a precedent up here, it's one that needs to be taken with some gravitas - $500 is a lot of money, may not be to some, but it certainly is to me, and it's not to be sniffed at.

Can you be a blondite for looking at a site?

Does that mean I am a member of the Hurlingham CLub cause I have seen their website? You see the correlation?

I know I am in an arsey mood today, but I am just trying to protect the integrity of this lovely place :)

I have no problem with what you are trying to achieve Tony, in fact I welcome anything that makes Blonde stronger, however that cannot be achieved by insulting the existing users of the forum by claiming they are not welcoming. I haven't been on the forum all weekend as we have had our grandson over but I am a daily visitor to this site and have found it the friendliest around and that includes the one I run.

sorry you feel that way but i dont think it is the case, i think that it is good that you are here, you are trying to do things for us and we are very grateful. it is also great to have a player of your talent and stature in the game. i made a post on a thread saying that it is great that people like you are here and that i have total respect for you for taking time out and helping us, not only with this site but also when you railed somebody i think that is great

He was on blondepoker he clicked on the banner & signed up to play in the blondepoker free roll at the same time he signed up to blondepoker and now he is posting on the forum.

I was making a point that zwolf was not welcome here. I am not insulting all members to say new ones are not welcome.

How often do you see a tournament with the kind of overlay that that this one had?

We should be thanking our lucky stars, the star in this case being TonyG who set this up within days of arriving, not giving him a hard time.

I don't see anything wrong with what Zwolf has done. In fact I feel sorry for the guy.

He clicked a link on another site to have a look around Blonde. He saw the advert on the homepage and decided that it was a good offer. You don't have to be a forum member to play it.

The problem with all this is just that every1 was unsure of the terms and conditions. If we'd have all been sure about who the money could go to, who could play, etc, etc, then we probably wouldn't be having this discussion.

I for one enjoyed the comp. It was a cracking offer and received $200 for a minimal investment.

I welcome Tony to our forum and hope he is able to find even more great offers in the future. I see it as a positive step for Blondepoker that will reward us financially and enable us to improve the site.

So, as TighEnd said, it's probably best to let this one go now. I'm sure we've all learnt something from it.

Mistakes should be forgiven. I'm sure that everything that went pear shaped this time round will be rectified for our next comp. I'm certain it will be a massive success, whatever site we hold it on.  :)up

i posted this ages ago but i thought i better make a point of it as it was me who made the original comments.

Everyone, remember that the freeroll was open to all those who signed up with Titan through the banners on blondepoker.com - there was no requirement to post, or be a member of the forum. Whilst the forum is the heart of Blondepoker, it's not the be all and end all. I'm sure there are many people who read the articles on the site without bothering with the forum - they had just as much right to take part as we did.

I enjoyed the event and want to thank Tony G for the efforts he put in to get a tournament running from which many blondites received free money. Poker rooms run events like this to get people to try out their software. As it happens, I think Titan have plenty of work to do on the stability and usability of their software, so I won't be playing there again in a hurry, but it was a fun event and I made a nice profit, so I'm not complaining.

Congratulations on your 2nd place the other night, I hope you enjoy this fourm and I hope that you become a regular poster here.

I'd just like to add that I think it is understandable that Tony G does not feel completely welcome here. Every contribution he makes seems to get negative comments and even his best European player poll was attacked. I feel this was unnecessary as it was just a bit of fun.
I'm sure these comments were meant as constructive criticism but if I had this much of it I don't think I would feel very welcome.

I think that Tony G is only trying to do positive things for the site and I'm sure most of the members of this site would echo these sentiments.

everything has teething problems when it starts up and never runs perfect first time
