Title: Which theme park? Post by: Tractor on July 24, 2007, 10:56:02 PM Im planing to take my kids to a theme park in a week or two, which is the best one?
They are tall enough for all the major thrill rides, which is what they want to go on. Choices are Alton Towers, Drayton Manor and Thorpe Park, or any other suggestions. Im thinking Thorpe Park, anyone been? They also do a Fasttrack Ticket too so we can avoid the 3 hour+ cues, although these tickets are much more expensive. cheers Title: Re: Which theme park? Went yesterday, crackin place, always hal price tickets available if you search the auction websites... £16 each me and the girlfriend paid, plus £10 for fast track tickets, including RITA... Went on at least 20 rides and qued no more than 30 mins on any ride, and it was quite busy...

I know someone who went yesterday too. They said they didn't queue more than 30mins, mostly not more than 20min, bit quiet due to poor weather and forcast. fast track tickets put u in a separate que up until around 10-15 ppl from front or even straight to front on some rides (at alton towers) this means u skip at least 1-2hrs ques when its busy :) well worth it! We splashed out on the Ultimate fastrack passes, which basically meant we could jump the que on all the major rides as many times as we liked, I have to say I think it was well worth the extra £££. There is an impresive display of Hydraulic Back-Hoe Excavators at JCB, in Rocester (near Alton Towers), & they have some Black Swans on their lake, too. Title: Re: Which theme park? Its a massive place too, you have to use the sky cart thingys all the time.
