blonde poker forum

now i reset and locked the poll on the battle of the sexes thread due to the fact it was an unworkable idea, it would cause friction and it was just plain stupid. but a few people though i should have left the poll open but i said who is going to run with the idea on wednessday (or when ever) when its brough up again saying blondites want it so sort it.

so i had too think about a way of having a team comp that would not involve culloding, not too hard to organise,cheap, FUN,and would involve most blondites that want to play

now i have thought of an idea but before i take it any further and see if a site will run it for us i want 100+ people voting they would be intrested

the idea would be to have teams of 10 each team would have 1 player in 10 different comps all the comps would start at same time points would be awarded depending on how many teams there are and there finishing position in the comp
1 team could be all female and 1 team all male, all teams to be drawn randomly, in the case of a team only having 9 players (would happen depending on how many enter) the captain of said team would play 2 tables at same time


at the moment i havent sounded out and site or sponsorship but the buy in for this event would be no more than the £20 for a normal blondite event if i get 100 votes in the next 7 days i will attempt to see if any site can hold this type of event

we guys are going to get our a** whiped by the ladies  >:D

I'm assuming there will be 10 female players and 90 males and each comp will be a 10 person STT.

I think Ironside must have just taken delivery of Tani Grey-Thompson's old racing wheelchair. He'll need it to escape the lynch mob heading his way.

nope if there is 150 players each comp could be 15 handed as there would be 15 teams

there needs to be atleast 10 females enter if there is going to be a female team

1 team will be a men only team the rest of the teams will be mixed and could be all male or all female depending on the draw

if your refering to the babes comment all the females on blonde are ladys and would not like the term babe

yep we could have tikay as captain of an over 80s team
and a 25 and lower team

the teams can be decided at later date but teams will be picked out of a hat so not to annoy anyone

ie for female team 10 get drawn out of a hat then all the rest go into hat for the mixed teams

the 80+ team could have all the 80+ members in hat all the rest go back into hat

so north angel could be in hat for female team miss out then go into hat for the 80+ team (or any other team she quailfies for)

I'm easy, stick me anywhere aslong as we get to play.

Must be an English thing,  cos I can understand Ironside perfectly ;D !!

I'm in, don't think team captain should play more than one game at a time though. Anymore than a one-off would require heaps of planning though.

to make sure everyone gets to play some teams will require 1 person 2 play 2 tables at once the easy way round this is to make he team captain play 2 tables at once

seeing as many of the players on blonde can play 3-4 tables at once this shouldnt be a problem

the suggestion I made seemed to get a positive response, what happened to that. all you do is confirm how many female players you have then allow the same number of male entrants (perhaps a random draw) then everyone plays as individuals and we compare results after the game. poker isn't a team game but there's no harm comparing the performance of different player demographics

also people will have reason to cullode
say there is 3 people left 2 men and 1 female then the men could team up to take out the women

the suggestion above everyone plays at same time everyone gets to play and there is no one in same team in same comp so no culloding
