Title: My 500th post Post by: Delboy on July 27, 2007, 11:16:51 PM So my 500th post is finally here!! I've been stuck on 499 for some time for a reason. That is I've been waiting for the birth of Nicky's (Mrs delboy) and my, daughter......
She arrived yesterday at 6.24pm, weighing in at 7lb 8oz. She is absolutely stunning.. Of course I would say that wouldn't I? We have named her Amelie Grace Andrews. For those that have met Nicky will imagine that a 7 1/2 lb baby coming out such a small body would seem an impossibility, however, Nicky took it all in her stride. Pushing out Amelie after a short (3hour) labour with no screaming, shouting, calling me names! No drugs or stitches. She was astounding a true hero. I really don't know what amazes more; The beauty of Amelie, The strength of Nicky, or just the miracle of child birth in general. All I really know is that i feel so happy and proud right now. Incidently the 26th was the 2nd aniversary of my father passing away..... I'm sure he'd love his grandaughter very much.
