Yayyy, Jen and I are going to see Prince tonight, and don't tell Snoops but I found him a spare ticket so he can come too and stop singing "All By Myself" every time I mention it.

Apparently first night at the the O2 he was AMAZING, played three hours starting off with Purple Rain and never once dropping in energy or drifting off into the experimental jazz instrumentals I was a little bit worried he might. Oh joy! I'm not even concerned about the weird flu-type disease I seem to have contracted, I think it might promote me hallucinating with happiness once the tiny man hits the stage.

Prince never puts on anything less that a fantastic performance and im sure these back to back gigs will be the same.

as for the christianity and good looking women, hes always thanked god in every album hes ever done so faith is not new to him. And he hangs around beautiful women so he doesnt look as good. Doesnt work though cause he always pulls off a great look:)

Saw him in concert at Wembley Arena (gulp) 22 years ago - an amazing show, fabulous performer, brilliant songwriter.

Prince is amazing live..and quite simply an asthonishing musician and song writer.

and yeah he's weird..but like, Chris Rock said, "Do you remember all them fights you used to have with your friends about who was better, Micheal Jackson or Prince?...Prince won!"

I'm going this Friday and again the following Saturday.  I saw him at 3121 in Vegas earlier in the year for the first time in 15 years and he's still fabulous.

For those of you expressing signs of jealousy on this thread I have two spare tickets for next Saturday (18th) which I was going to stick on Ebay.  However, if any blondes want to take them off my hands then drop me a PM.  If there's loads of interest then I'll figure some way of giving everyone a fair shot of getting them.

The coolest person i ever met was in Paris, the guy was funny, interesting and just downright cool as f***.

Oh my lord it was awesome. The O2 venue, formerly the Millennium Tent, felt about halfway between a baseball stadium and a spaceship. Which is pretty good. The Main Attraction was as fabulous as I could have hoped for. My friend Milt, sitting/standing/grooving next to me, said that last night was as close to dancing as he's ever seen me since we've known each other. There was Purple Rain and I got my lighter out. Although sign of the times (if you'll pardon the pun), there were more mobile phone lights in the crowd than cigarette lighters.

Can't really be bothered writing a full book report, my flu disease has worsened and I've spent all day dozing after having to cancel my recording session. Oops. But am considering trying to get tickets to see the Tiny Purple One again in September. Wonderful.
