Title: big flops like... Post by: AdamM on October 17, 2005, 05:20:59 PM flop is [qc] [qd] [qh] and a player moves in before you. what hands would you consider calling with generally?
Title: Re: big flops like... Post by: ifm on October 17, 2005, 05:23:02 PM only a queen!
last 2 times i saw this flop (oddly both very recently) someone had the 4th Queen!! Title: Re: big flops like... Post by: TightEnd on October 17, 2005, 05:25:07 PM another question
you raise the pot in the Grosvenor grand prix with [ks] [kh] in mid position A liverpudlian builder in the big blind calls the flop comes [8d] [8s] [8c] he checks. It's up to you. You bet the pot He dwells and calls, scousily. In the Gutshot main event you have [qc] [qd] the flop comes [6h] [6d] [6c] you can guess the rest I hate this game p.s seriously though, these flops are a nightmare to know where you really are..... ;D Title: Re: big flops like... Post by: AdamM on October 17, 2005, 05:30:06 PM with the first one, for me it's be A,A K,K or Q,x
Title: Re: big flops like... Post by: AdamM on October 17, 2005, 05:30:24 PM generally
Title: Re: big flops like... Post by: 12barblues on October 17, 2005, 05:42:49 PM If your opponent flops quads, do you think he would move all in immediately?
My answer would depend on the opponent, the preflop action, the pot size and the size of the all in, but to give an impossibly general answer I'd consider calling with a decent pair because I don't believe he has a Q. Then I'd fold anyway because I'm a wimp :-[ Title: Re: big flops like... Post by: ifm on October 17, 2005, 05:47:04 PM both times i saw it the fella with the Q went allin!!
it may not be worth it IMO Title: Re: big flops like... Post by: TightEnd on October 17, 2005, 05:48:24 PM a tricky player bets quads and hopes there is a big overpair against him, does he not?
Title: Re: big flops like... Post by: 12barblues on October 17, 2005, 06:52:41 PM That's why:
1. I put all the qualifiers in my answer; and 2. I fold anyway because I don't trust my own judgement ;D |
