I was in a casino almost every night when I was a student.

Boy. Times have changed since last year.

i would have no idea either as i dont want to go near the stupid things

i do know that its even money odds or even even money black or red
36-1 single number guess the rest would be 36/ the number of numbers you pick ie 4 numbers 12-1

36 numbers and a zero on a European table, zero and double zero on an American. the house ignores the zero(s), it's their edge and gives you 35/1 on a single number.

35-1? thats an extra edge

That's neutral.

Your number against 35 other numbers (still excluding the zeros)

there is 36 numbers + the 0 on a roulette wheel

Yes, so if there are 36 numbers, the odds are 35/1.....

As I said before the "0", i.e. the Zero(s) are the house edge. Ignored when working out odds so there are 36 left, hence 35/1, it is not an extra edge.

Easy answer, I can't remember and couldn't be arsed to work it out tonight, I'll do it in the morning.

Oh and I need further info, are the numbers adjacent, and which one hits, it makes a difference

wow another huge edge why would anyone want to pick 4 numbers

If the numbers are on the edge the outer numbers corners benefit from half the chips, the inner numbers benefit a quarter. So it depends on where the numbers are.

top of the class

I used to play the wheel in a most boring and slightly profitable way, but got impatient every now and then so it was back to stage one

I know dealers who still struggle with this lol

For the un educated (and people from Blackpool hehehehe) here s a run down

Straight Up (1 number)  35-1
Corner (4numbers) 8-1
Split (2 Numbers) 17-1
Street (3 numbers) 11-1 (also 0,1,2 or 0,2,3)
Six Line (6 numbers) 5-1
Coloumns/Dozens (12 numbers) 2-1
Even chances (red black, high low,odd even) 1-1

Thus ends Roulette 101

why would anyone bet these

Straight Up (1 number)  35-1
Split (2 Numbers) 17-1
Street (3 numbers) 11-1 (also 0,1,2 or 0,2,3)

when your giving extra overlay to casino?

Yep ironside, it is hard to beat that sort of edge you are GIVING them. I use to concentrate on the Evens and 2/1 bets, but even that gave an edge to the house

Yes its very true that if u add up every number between 1-36 together the answer is 666, did u also know the game of roulette was invented by a french monk who later killed himslef after failing to find a 100% accurate way to beat his own game??  So Systems dont work  :D

what an idiot the monk was he invented it why not make it pay 40-1 for single number 2-1 for red or black etc etc it was his game he could have made alot of punters very rich while ruining casinos and saved himself from death

Ps it really is ;sleep; time now
