Mmmm. I wanna beat the queues though, there's going to be more than a few needing to register I suspect.

Fair enough, not been to an APAT event but was basing it on last week's GUKPT where there was no queue at all when I turned up

You could also register online, then all you would have to produce is your photo ID on the day.

Don't assume that filling in those details on-line will mean they know who you are when you turn up.

Me, my nephew and a friend all registered on-line a couple of weeks before a visit there. They had no knowledge of our registrations when we turned up.

seconded,   just a frustrating waste  of time in reality.

however, if you join your local grosvenor prior, u can  now use that card for entry to speed up the process(in theory)

Well the option is there if you want to , we did it on line before our 1st visit and as far as I recall, although it is a while back,  it was ok when we arrived after producing ID and signing. I tend to do it most places I am visiting if the option is available it saves time filling in the forms, but no system is perfect and I guess the odd ones will get missplaced.

Hi fella,

As chance would have it, Rich & I met with the Luton Management last night to tie up & finalise details for the APAT Weekend.

We addressed your point specifically. Of the 300 runners, we expect no more than 50 or 60 to be G-Casino Luton Members, so, all things being equal, 120 players on each of the two opening days will need to sign up to become G-Casino Luton Members - potentially, a very bad bottleneck.

We agreed this.....

1) A minimum of three "desks" will be operating in Reception for signing in. 150 players will need to sign in, this is bound to be time-consuming

2) The Casino will open at Noon, especially for us, so we can ease the bottleneck & get everyone in & seated on time. As you know, APAT start their Tourneys bang on time, so this is a worry to us. The Tourney will start promptly at 2.30pm, & you'll need to be seated by 2.15pm to hear the usual preambles. The earlier you arrive, the better.

3) We were assured that by registering Online it would speed registration up immensely, & we encourage you to do so. The online address is....

http://www.gcasino.co.uk/luton/lutonregister01.php

Look forward to seeing you there.

Will be there be an express line for people who are already members to stop them having to queue for ages?

We never discussed that option, (it never crossed my mind, in truth) but I'll have a word & see what they say.

hi to all the new players that are comming up for the weekend.
Please take note of the dress code for the g casino. NO TRAINERS, NO RIPPED JEANS, NO HOODS AND NO SPORTS TOPS i would hate for you to go through the hassle of registering and are then turned away because of what you are wearing.

I wouldn't have thought about it either if I hadn't seen a number of people in the queue to the Cardiff APAT event getting a bit frustrated about having to wait around when they were already members.

Yes - the Cardiff queue started at 11am, & the Casino never opened until Noon! Casino Registration is a big pain, but as more & more of our Members become Grosvenor Members, it will ease we hope.  We spent half an hour discussing this very problem last night, & it's not easy to deal with, but we'll get there.

To be fair to luton G casino for the blonde bash i arrived at the casino pretty much at the back of the queue (about 20/25 ppl) due to losing my wallet somewhere between the multi story and the hotel (didnt lose it at all it was down the side of my car seat) so when i arrived i thought this is going to take ages but i was in within 10 minutes.
Very efficient IMO and it would definately save time to have a separate desk for existing members.

One of the desks could operate like they do with business class at the airport!....they check in members if any are waiting...otherwise they take a new member out of the main queue  (one at a time).
