I've also read it, and yes it is very good. Its allot about pot control / stack to pot ratio's and how apply this so that you get an optimum pot size, thereby avoiding tough post flop decisions as much as possible. Would highly recommend it.

nooo, thats not the answer you're supposed to give - you're supposed to say something like "i'll come round to your house and re-arrange all your plumbing" or "i'll come round to your house for a discussion on the merits of using slightly acidic soil when re-potting cactii". You know something that will make me want to stay tuned!! (even if he did write it himself).

Homebase are doing a good deal on compost at the moment.  I got some recently and got 25% extra and a free bag.
I was really excited when I saw the offer. I mentioned it to the Girl who serves in my local takeway a few days ago and expected her to be just as happy about the deal as I was, unfortunately she gave me a blank look. She must be loyal to B&Q and buy compost there

The book is written mainly for nl cash games, but it can easily be applied to other games. The thought process it teaches you do not change that much, although other factors may change the outcome :)

This book as had some mixed reviews. I found it to be a bit basic, although I can't really say what I expected from it. You know when you read a book and you sit there and think: thats it? And you don't really feel that it improved your game any...It is also lacking a bit in the ICM department. After i read it I felt the message of the book was: in the beginning play very tight, in the middle stage you should try to steal some blinds, maybe throw in a resteal here and there - and at the late stage it is push fold. So no, it didn't really bring the revolution...

Read it last week,they have found lots of new names for stuff you would be doing naturally.   R.E.M. S.P.R.On the whole I was a bit disappointed but wait for it Volume 2 will be coming out soon.Most of the time I do not expect much from a book and think they are worth the money if I only get a little bit of valuable info to improve my game.  More to the point  this books value is dependent on where you are on the greasy cash game pole.     Triskaidekaphobia now theres a fancy word for you all page 180. I did hear that one of the rave revues for this book was by Millers missus I suppose alls fair in the publishing world.If it stops you donking of your stack one time its worth the money so there you have it.

Triskaidekaphobia  - fear of the number 13?  I guess that's the idea of not play hands that add up to 13 in blackjack?   

I agree that books tend to cover the same ground, but like you said, if you can gain one nugget of information or it goes over a point that you haven't paid much attention to then it can pay for itself in one hand.  Although I have read others that were a waste of money, time and effort.
