hey there every1 i am a dealer at nottingham gala casino and an avid poker player and follower (though i cant deal the damn thing) i come on this forum alot and thought i may aswell get myself on here. If you go to notts im kev the dealer that looks like this  O0 . so just thought d say hi to every1  ;)

hey :) almost instant reply. We have dealers although they arent on request and are usually only dealing on the sunday late events or cash game

As the wife of Odin, Frigg is one of the foremost goddesses of Norse mythology. She is the patron of marriage and motherhood, and the goddess of love and fertility. In that aspect she shows many similarities with Freya, of whom she possibly is a different form.

She has a reputation of knowing every person's destiny, but never unveils it. As the mother of Balder, she tried to prevent his death by extracting oaths from every object in nature, but forgot the mistletoe. And by a fig made from mistletoe Balder died. Her hall in Asgard is Fensalir ("water halls"). Frigg's messenger is Gna, who rides through the sky on the horse Hofvarpnir. In some myths she was rumored to have had love affairs with Odin's brothers Ve and Vili.

The chief divinity of the Norse pantheon, the foremost of the Aesir. Odin is a son of Bor and Bestla. He is called Alfadir, Allfather, for he is indeed father of the gods. With Frigg he is the father of Balder, Hod, and Hermod. He fathered Thor on the goddess Jord; and the giantess Grid became the mother of Vidar.

Odin is a god of war and death, but also the god of poetry and wisdom. He hung for nine days, pierced by his own spear, on the world tree. Here he learned nine powerful songs, and eighteen runes. Odin can make the dead speak to question the wisest amongst them. His hall in Asgard is Valaskjalf ("shelf of the slain") where his throne Hlidskjalf is located. From this throne he observes all that happens in the nine worlds. The tidings are brought to him by his two raven Huginn and Muninn. He also resides in Valhalla, where the slain warriors are taken.

Odin's attributes are the spear Gungnir, which never misses its target, the ring Draupnir, from which every ninth night eight new rings appear, and his eight-footed steed Sleipnir. He is accompanied by the wolves Freki and Geri, to whom he gives his food for he himself consumes nothing but wine. Odin has only one eye, which blazes like the sun. His other eye he traded for a drink from the Well of Wisdom, and gained immense knowledge. On the day of the final battle, Odin will be killed by the wolf Fenrir.

He is also called Othinn, Wodan and Wotan. Some of the aliases he uses to travel icognito among mortals are Vak and Valtam. Wednesday is named after him (Wodan).

The snobs had BBC "a"s  I had a c64 and zx81 with 16mb ram pack, serious gamers had the atari or omega! wow what an era!

anyone that thought a C64 was better than a speccy deserves to end up in a dead end job like a card room manager

Vic 20 was nearly as good as the spectrum!! All I can remember of the spectrum before i sold it was entering a game in basic from a magazine, called manic miner. Much more impressed with c64's chess. lol

i remember the early zx81's!!
turn them upside down and the keys fell out!!

manic minor wasnt a basic game it was a cross platform mega hit and predcessor of jet set willy

speccy was by far the superior machine to the C64

yeah the amiga was better but it like comparing a 486 to a P4 differenet generation

Brought it into work & caused a severely geeky argument about who had the best old computer. Strange thing was all spectrum owners said the z & x keys were broken on them - Daley Thompson's Decathalon had killed them all :)

One of my favorite games was the old Football Manager on the spectrum, it was brilliant to find an XL version recently - you can play it at work & it looks like you're working on a really intricate spreadsheet  :D

Yes, but can you still press break on the keyboard to get into the basic programming and add about 6 zeros to your starting cash.

So it wouldn't work on the moon, but that wasn't that big a problem back then.

manic minor wasnt programmed in basic it was one of the first ever machine code programs on a home computer

i used to play the old text adventure games and the fantastic dungeon master on the amiga (i was so good at it i couldn't finish it!!)
