Title: Can anyone recommend vegas flights for next year? Post by: Sugardaddy on September 04, 2007, 09:58:00 AM EDIT: I've seen the other vegas thread as well and looking into those options. If anyone has anything more specific for my thread, then great.
2 posts in 2 minutes. I'm really that bored at work. Anyway for my 21st birthday, I shall be flying off to Vegas. My 21st is on August 24th. Ideally I'd like to fly on the 25th or 26th and fly back 14 days later. Direct not a problem... Can anyone recommend or try and find me the cheapest flights as possible yet the most valuable and comfy ones? I mean £1000 is a LOT of money to me so way too much ya see.... Also someone advised me to stay in the Bellagio. Apparently $200 a night for a suite there which isn't bad at all! Has anyone got any recommendations for that too? I'd be planning to book ASAP really. Cheers guys! I'm sure you'll be much more experience in this than me ;) I would be happy booking flights now and booking hotel about 6 weeks before if much cheaper. BMI from Manchester fly direct, & it's an excellent service, very competitive price-wise, too. You can fly Maxjet from Stansted "Business Class" for about £700 return. If all else fails, there is the dreaded Wooly Jumper Airlines (Virgin) from Gatwick. As a last resort, only. Title: Re: Can anyone recommend vegas flights for next year? Post by: Woodsey on September 04, 2007, 10:23:55 AM I've just used BMI direct from Manchester this week and it was great. One bit of advice though, for some reason it is much, much cheaper to pay for an upgrade to premium economy or business when you check in or even when you board than paying for it in advance when you originally book (assuming there's room). Its £125 for premium economy and £600 business each way on top of the original fare, I had £600 in my pocket at vegas airport on my return journey so thought sod it as I was absolutely knackered, slept all the way home LOL. I would normally say premium economy is a waste of the extra money at the full fare but at £125 its well worth it.
Title: Re: Can anyone recommend vegas flights for next year? Post by: Sugardaddy on September 04, 2007, 10:30:02 AM I live in Leeds but in all honesty Tikay, I'd fly from anywhere. One suitcase.. trains aren't a major problem. Plus I know people in Manchester, and people in London so that's fine.
£700 would be the ultimate max I'd spend on flights... i'll pencil that in as top of the range :P Any other tips? :p Title: Re: Can anyone recommend vegas flights for next year? Accomodation prices for August 08 probably won't be available until the end of 2007 or early 2008.I'd be surprised if you can get a suite at the Bellagio for $200 a night, £200/$400 and up is more likely but if you can, grab it. Frankly, although it's a special occasion for you, on a practical basis, how much time are you going to spend in your room. And when you do, your eyes will be closed. Save a few quid, try the Mirage/MGM/Caesars..or save more and try Bill's Gambling Hall (42" plasmas in every room) or the Imperial Palace. Both are on the Strip (opposite Caesars) and can be had for a song! Flights, well Tikay pegged it but I'd recommend MaxJet...they often have sales. We flew to Vegas in July 07 (having booked in February) for £600 return, Business Class...none of that 'Premium Economy' = 6 inches more legroom stuff here. 104 seats only, proper reclining Business Class seats in a 767. Sweet. Title: Re: Can anyone recommend vegas flights for next year? Post by: cambo on September 04, 2007, 07:22:30 PM a few of us from glasgow are going in june next year flying from manchester -return flights and 10 nights accomadation for around £650. not staying on the strip will probably be a shitty hotel but who cares wont be spending much time holded up in the room anyhow. bobafett from here has arranged it , if he sees the thread helll let you know
