Title: Media Player - Help Please.. Post by: Eck on September 09, 2007, 04:31:22 PM Recently had to replace the hard drive on the pc and since re-installing everything i am unable to get the windows media player to work. This wouldn't be that much of a big deal but i use napster which works of it. I have checked the device manager and all the drivers seem to be present and i get nothing when i click web help when i get the error message in media player.
I last spoke to Napster last week and they reckoned it was a driver or sound card issue but everything seems okay and so have been using itunes to listen to CD's. Any thoughts anyone? You get this message if you have an unvalidated copy of windows - nice new feature on version 11. Not that I am suggesting you have a dodgy windows copy you understand. Post by: CelticGeezeer on September 10, 2007, 02:17:22 AM Microsoft are a joke and their validation is ridiculous, doing updates to any of their stuff is almost impossible even with a legal copy. They are lucky that there is no real competition to their OS. I now use firefox, winamp and real player, ie and media player just don't work/update on a legal copy of vista for me.
