Hi guys

Just got off the phone with Future inn cant offer a discount but they have got 30 rooms free for the weekend its £75 for friday and £101 for the Saturday.

I have been in contact with all the local hotels and there is one more, that has 50 rooms free its called The IBIS in the city centre that one is £65 per night its not a bad hotel neither. Stayed there once after a lucky night out!

Get them quick tho the manger would'nt let me group book because he wanted a 50% deposit for all 50 rooms.

There is also the ETAP hotel, which is a bloody good price, although very basic.  A long walk or a short drive from the casino.

Quick update

For all those willing to slum a bit the ETAP has 39 rooms and they are only £32 per night for the room each room sleep upto 3 people!!!

What's the parking like at the casino, is there a height limit and can vehicles be left there over night?

There is a massive car park and the Casino will validate all parking tickets cant really see there being a problem parking overnight

I've booked in the Park Inn in the City Centre for Fri and Sat for £165.

I think it's a reasonable walking distance from the casino - lazier people might think its a short drive though.

You'll be on your horse anyway, of course.

Looked into the ETAP (not that I can probably make it :() and when you put in 3 adults it trippled the price, so it wanted £32 per person per room not just per room.

they know you have no friends though and are likely to be spending the night alone.............

its £32 a room and basic but if all you want to do is doss your head its fine.

take elbow pads as the walls are like sandpaper and the beds are like wandsworth nicks beds.


booked 5 rooms in the future before the rush for the saturday nite at £83 a room including breaky.

They are very basic in the ETAP.  But I'll be so drunk that I'm not really going to be bothered.  Certainly wouldn't want to spend more than 2 nights there though.

Absolutely.  I'm going to be in a drink-induced coma - don't need to spend £80 a night on a place to crash and keep my toothbrush.

 

don't really need to spend anything to be fair.  I'm seriously thinking of cancelling my room and just finding a random floor to crash on in the wee small hours.

sigh.  the other alternative is just to stay up drinking all night and catch 40 winks in a chair somewhere.

I was thinking of doing the same. Last bb, I was only in the room for about 8 hours over two nights.  Seems pointless spending that sort of money for that.  Somewhere to have a shower would be nice though

i'm sure plenty of people would be willing to loan their shower for a few minutes.  All night drinking then Graham?

soo true...wife is coming home early tonight from Northampton so I'll ask her to ask her gran when she wants the dinner (Don't get me wrong..her gran is fantastic and I actually love the old bird..she's great fun (the gran..not the wife...ohboy...erm..Love her too and she's great aswell and...well older but that's not whom I referred to as being an old bird) but it would just be soo much better if she doesn't want to celebrate her birthday on the 13th or 14th)

Just booked the hotel!!!!  We're staying in the Future from the Friday to Monday and they charged £75 per night...good thing I got cheap flights.  €45 round trip all said and done for both of us.  Now then...just have to mention it to himself.   rotflmfao

Booked in the Future for Fri and Sat night.  I had the same rate increase conversation from reservations as well - went onto www.booking.com 2 mins later and got the double room for £75.

Himself has been told (not asked) and we're going.  Deals were made, but well worth it in the end!  Was almost too easy.  See ya all next month!!!

Well..tried to book the ETAP or whatever you called..turns out you b*****s have already filled it up. No rooms for saturdaynight there. Booked future inn for three days instead. I'll make sure I get ironside room nr to charge the drinks and breakfast to...Yeah Iron, you heard it right, Drinks as well! Simply because I am blaming you for people filling the ETAP :)

Just read your post and thought I will have to spend that little bit extra for a hotel I will barely sleep in but thought I would try the ETAP just incase. I was surprised that my 3 night booking 12th to 15th has just gone though.

what?...we tried online and rang them up and the guy said it was full for the saturday..I'm thinking Ki probably rang them up earlier and warned them about me or something :(

I second this, coming up friday and leaving sunday evening so a place to freshen up and a pillow will do,  Seems alot are staying at the future and they only have rooms for the friday night as saturday is full.

I'm booked in the ETAP Friday,Saturday and Sunday and am on my own so if anyone does fancy sharing that's fine - no idea if it's a twin or double but I don't mind using the floor or whatever - I can sleep anywhere (only really wanted the room for a shower).

ETAP is double bed with a single bed on top.

so you can easily share.

ETAP is basic, but clean, perfect for a sleepless blonde bash weekend, we will be there Friday , Sat, Sun nights .... really looking forward to it :)
