Title: Bubble Play
Post by: daviebhoy on September 19, 2007, 12:00:48 PM
I don't have the hand history to post exact chip amounts but I can get roughly the correct numbers.

We are in a £10 STT and in the bubble with four players left. Blinds 300/600. We have been getting some horrible hands with 3 high and 5 high being more familiar than anything with a picture on it and because of other players pushing we have struggled to steal any blinds which are now starting to crush us.

UTG: 3500
Button : 3800
SB : 1200 chips
You are in the BB with 1500 chips.

Your Hole Cards :  7d Ts

Action :

SB : posts 300 chips
BB : posts 600 chips
UTG : folds
Button : folds
SB best 900 chips and is all in

Question :

Is our hand strong enough to call here given that our opponent could be pushing with almost any two cards ?

Cool. This is not situation I like to find myself in and as such I do my best to avoid it but wondered what the concensus was regrding call when you do find yourself here. I am assuming everyone is going to say call.

Can I really call with any two cards here ? Even 23o ?

As it turned out I did call and was delighted to see the SB turn over a pair of fours.

Even more delighted to see a 7 on the turn...
