Title: Broadway Festival Post by: snoopy1239 on September 21, 2007, 10:17:45 PM Hi, folks. Just returned from the Broadway after dropping Jen off. It's a £50 rebuy satellite tonight and there were over 150 players there, which is 40 players above what there normal max is (!) - don't think I've ever seen the Broadway set-up tables down by the Roulette wheel.
Anyhow, plenty of names there - Burnly John, Red-Dog, Barry (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=42) Neville (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=42), Paul (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=328) King (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=328), Frankie (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=143) Knight (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=143) and so on, so the standard seems pretty high. However, with that many players and a potential 25 seats up for grabs, it's a shame I'm working tomorrow, otherwise I would have bought in. Just shows what a difference it makes when you guarantee satellite seats for a Main Event. On a sidenote, good luck to Fran who finalled the £500. She's only got a big blind left, but is guaranteed £1,600 minimum, which is cool - let's just hope she gets a Chili-esque shortstack double through. Gonna be tough though, El Blondie is chip leader and rumoured to be in top form. If you guys get a chance, be sure to join me and my mystery updater for the live coverage of the Main Event tomorrow. It makes it a lot more fun when people are chatting with us, making requests, or whatever. I believe coverage starts at 6pm and there are plenty of 'names' playing, so make sure you pop in to keep us company. I may offer norkage in return...
