It's very sad Ralph, but one feels, inevitable, ditto Pete Doherty. It's like watching a car crash about to happen. Yes, except with Amy Winehouse, sometimes she'll turn up between drinking and shooting up and she'll sing something just the way God meant it to be, and you'll stop and say, oh yes, that's why she's famous. I don't believe that's ever happened with Pete Doherty. Title: Re: Me and Mr Jones Post by: Robert HM on September 22, 2007, 04:07:22 PM Amy Winehouse Sung with such feeling, so sad. He can be a stunning performer, and his gift for writing will last for many years no matter what the future holds. Some fans seem to be overally sycophantic but this is born from his talent I believe. From there it spirals, popularity brings the press, the press report the success but wait for failure, in both cases they are ill and deserve support not ridicule and hounding. I hate the glee that seeps from the press reporting of situations such that Winehouse went through recently. I have been lucky enough to see Pete on form twice for that I guess I am lucky, but forever thankfull. And although I'm certain I've heard a bunch of his songs, I can't remember a single one of them. He may well have a great talent as a showman and a hellraiser, but as a musician, far as I'm concerned, he ain't got it. ;scarymoment; Title: Re: Me and Mr Jones Post by: Nakor on September 22, 2007, 06:23:52 PM Amy Winehouse Sung with such feeling, so sad.
