Title: daft fold?

little info on player as he has only been on the table less than one round. showndown one hand with 88 set v top two. he also min bet then min reraised in this hand.

There's not much that beats you. 88 is the only likely holding.

I'm not sure he'd shove the turn with it though- more likely he's drawing with a hand like Ac 8c or Tc 9c.

I'd call.

yeah I'd agree there. I don't think he'd shove with a set here..400 into a 200 ish pot only scares people off that you want calling. I have to call..and probably see him flip over 2 pair or something..I don't expect him to have a set here. He might even think you're at it from the button.

Not a fold for me..having said that..I never fold a set on a board like this..only a higher set and J9 beat you and you should be able to rule J9 out taking the flop betting into account.
