Title: Off on my travels ...AGAIN ! Post by: Colchester Kev on October 20, 2005, 10:13:03 PM ... I have just been informed by my Dad, that Myself and my boys are Off on a trip on Saturday for a week ... He has booked us a suprise tour to see Colditz castle, Aushwitz concentration camp, Arnhem, and numerous other WW11 landmarks ... This is a particularly spectacular trip for me, as i have been a bit of a WW11 nerd for ages ..and my eldest has been brainwashed into it too
It is a guided trip, and Im already very excited. I know he said he would do something special for my 40th Birthday which was at Xmas time, But he has surpassed himself here. It has always been a dream of mine to visit Aushwitz and I just know it will be an emotional moment when i get there, Colditz castle is also another place i have dreamt of seeing, so many times i have watched the films and documentaries and promised myself that one day ... one day. I know i have had more bloody trips away than Judith Chalmers recently ... But this one is just awesome. I hope you will all have a peacefull time on the forum, and i will be sure to take plenty of pics to show you when i get back. I will be about tomorrow til about 5pm and then will try and get on my Dads PC tomorrow night, we leave early Sat morning. Yours already over excited Kev. Title: Re: Off on my travels ...AGAIN !
