Title: I feel cheated, should i?
Post by: Newmanseye on October 18, 2007, 02:13:59 AM
Disconnect protection  WTF is this nonsense, I was playing some PLO and i know the guy has an over pair to the board from the way he has been playing for the last hour or so and i make my middle set, so i rightfully reraise him the pot knowing he will over commit as he has done a couple of times before. When all of a sudden the guy does not call my bet but the turn and river get delt.

I scoop but muggins there gets to see my cards, the turn and the river and i only assume that if he luckboxed it i would have lost the hand even though he didnt call.

If this was allowed in live games icould understand but WHY the feck is this allowed online in this day and age when connections are as good as they are.

Also, How do you use this damn function if its an acceptable practice?

regards

A very pissed off Scotsman.

Or select the tables that say no DP.  iPoker, for example has some tables that allow 1 DP, others that don't allow it at all.

But I agree, it's not really needed.

The reason that most sites have DP is in case of a total crash, they are just covering their arses.

And it is most definitely cheating 95% of the time IMHO

I think it's been fixed now but for a while on ipoker you could DP sometimes just by letting your timer run down.
