Its $2-4, 8 handed on I poker, one of several tables on the go but the only hairy one

You pick up KK/AA a couple of times in EP and raise to $12, this attracts multiple callers with hands ranging from  Kh Th,  9c 8c,  6s 4d and  Ks  9d (from those I saw)

You get away twice on connected flops correctly, you are then stacked off with over pair vs nut flush draw where no bet you make can force your opponent to fold

You are randomising your play, raising same with connectors and baby pairs for implied odds if you hit multi way, floating in position in other pots

Next two times you get AA/KK etc you raise more in attempt to play heads-up, to $24 and don't get any action

the net effect over a session is to leave you there waiting to get big hands cracked, on this particular type of table..unless your funky hands hit.

In this type of loose game, where you are the "solid" one, what types of adjustments should I be making to avoid the bias that develops to leave you at the mercy of being outflopped when holding pre-flop monsters?

Assuming I am adequately bankrolled should I be minimising or accepting variance against these types of foes?

So raise to $24 a few times without AA/KK and if they all fold start typing insulting remarks in the chat box.

Hmmm tricky really with big pairs here as you don't seem to getting any respect. On these type of tables i tend to play more loose passive pre flop looking to get into loads of pots with weak opponents. I quite like overbetting preflop to make the pots less multiway post flop and by the sounds of it you are just getting unlucky that either everyone is folding or one player calling seems to trigger a massive "ive got value fest". Sounds a bit like playing live poker.

I think in general you are experiencing the massive varience that comes playing players like this, that they will invariably hit but you can take them for the lot when you hit bigger.

I'm getting sunk by this sort of problem on ipoker at the moment too, at 1/2. Have tried the looser-more passive approach, but just feel like i'm playing like a calling station and have no control over what's going on. Playing elsewhere I'm not having the same trouble.

It's all the more frustrating because you instinctively feel that these games should be a goldmine. As I'm sure they are if you can keep your head.

So in summary I'm obviously no help at all... but nice to hear I'm not alone..!

Limp preflop looking to put in a reraise or hit a set?

Leave and join another table.

Or play the way you are, laying down AA/KK on scary connecting boards.

On flushing boards when they WILL NOT fold, try and see the turn card cheaply, then if it is a blank, Jam to make them pay for the river.

PS If you think playing a table like that in NLH is frustrating, try playing an omaha table with players like that!
