blonde poker forum

As Posted elsewhere, the blonde Forum will be offline briefly on Monday night to allow Bongo to make a few changes.

As he already stated elsewhere, this includes the addition of a "Games Arcade". Sigh......

More importantly, after much & long debate, we've decided to split General Discussion into seperate "Poker" & "Non-Poker" Boards. Which, judging by past debates between Members, & the recent interminable Mods debate on the issue, will split opinion, almost everyone is firmly in one camp or the other. But worry not, we'll give it a good run-out, & if it don't work, or if there's too much resistance, we'll revert back to the way we are now. I think we'll give it a month to see how well-received it is & then review the position.

So, that gives us the job of finding "Names" or Titles" for our Poker, & Non-Poker, GD Boards. Now, we've chosen a couple already, but the final decision has yet to be made, but it will be, within the next 72 hours.

So, here's your chance to select the two names you think would best describe the Two Boards - Poker & Non-Poker.

Come on, let's have some original ideas.

Erm, maybe i am missing something but aren't there already seperate boards purely for poker?

What would fit into a gen diss board about poker that is neither "live" or "online"?
The only thing i can think of is slagging players off or selling stuff, that said i have:

Foldable poker tables in carrier case, hexagon shaped with the slot thingies for the chips @ £25 each +p&p
Sets of 300 or 500 clay chips in aluminium carrycases with cards, button etc. £15 and £20 respectively, drop me a pm.

Agreed Ian, but Live Poker is primarily for Information about Poker Comps, whereas "Poker Discussion" is, well, poker discussion. I think.

As to Internet Poker, well, I think my reply is the same. Probably.

I think that's quite a good & interesting proposal Ian, & one we will chew over. It particularly applies to me, as I do tend to sometimes disguise spam as lamb, so to speak. Sometimes for commercial reasons I guess, other times to draw attention to threads that may not otherwise catch the eye - "good headlines sell papers" sorta thing.

But a NIGHTMARE for the Mods to control.

Just so you know as far as i'm concerned i have no problem with 10 extra boards as i hit "show unread post since last visit", i just was/ still am curious as to what fits into the new board ???

I still think tons of boards look messy and put folks off though but i've said that for years.

Threads about the forum will most probably go into the off-topic forum.  An alternative to that is to create a 'forum announcements and suggestions' board as many other places have.  But the off-topic board will probably do.
